Definitely not grateful for how my athlete brother is treated on the team. I repeat do not send you children to this school for athletics as they have favorites and may never give your children or siblings a chance to play. Do not waste your money at this school. Can’t understand how someone’s goes from being a captain to not playing for three years yet being on the team that plays statistics to cover / protect themselves. I am beyond disappointed in USJ and I would not recommend anyone to send their aspiring athletes for any sports at that school especially basketball

Everyone on campus that I have dealt with has maintained so much professionalism, the professors here really go out of their way to be helpful. I wish it were cheaper, but you get what you pay for, this school is definitely worth the money! The tutoring department is amazing!

I recently was enrolled in the graduate cohort for reading and writing. I have been teaching for almost 10 years and found most of the classes insulting. I felt I knew more than the cohort professors and learned very little new. Many of the text books were from early 2000. Considering the vast changes in LA recently, I felt many classes provided information that was not up to curent reading philosphies and/or research. The rubrics were so convoluted that the professors couldn't figure them out or they did not pertain to the topic. Many classes were spent going back and forth over the rubrics only to have them change again. Knowing what I do now, I would not waste the money, but would have done an on-line course for 1/3 the price.

Last semesters, I took a class with an international instructor. It was the worst class I ever studied in my life. Every time I ask her about the class she told me to go online and check how my classmates did. I'm still wondering did I took the class to learn from my classmates or from the instructor. After that class I hated the school and I can't even do my best in my current semester.

As a current junior undergraduate at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT, I am very happy here. I came to USJ as a shy, timid girl without the confidence to speak up in class. I am now a confident woman that isn't afraid to voice my opinion or share my insights. USJ has given me the platform to grow as a person and to realize exactly what I want out of college and out of life. In the past, I have always been unsure what the future would hold for me but ever since I've been at USJ my path has become more clear. I would recommend attending USJ to any woman interested in getting, not only a college education, but a chance to grow as a person, which is something not most colleges can offer.
