For 6 years, I have been doing Kumon and have finished the reading and math programs. The moments I have spent at Kumon were very fun and I learned a lot from them, not just academically, but also life lessons I can apply to my school and personal life. When I was doing reading and math in Kumon, I often came across subjects I didn't know, and I was often stressed and scared as I didn't know how to do it, but with a little of help from the instructors there I eventually came to learn the topics even better, and especially at the end of both levels it was really challenging, but I persevered through it with the support of Kumon. Time management was also something I learned during my time at Kumon. Due to the fact that I got schoolwork every day, I had to balance out time for Kumon and time for schoolwork, which was pretty hard considering the amount of work I got from school, but I did manage to do both everyday and eventually get my way towards finishing the programs and doing good in school. From reading, I improved my analytical skills of texts by diving deeper into meaning of texts and this was especially true of poem and classical texts, where you have to look from a new perspective to understand them fully. In math, I improved my math skills which helped me get into math 1 by 7th grade, but it also showed me different ways math could be used in real life nearing the end of the math program, which I found quite fascinating.

My experience at Kumon was very enjoyable and memorable, and even if it did take a while, I still think it was worth it. I strongly encourage parents to put their kids in Kumon as they will learn a lot from this experience.

Mrs Alka and her team are amazing! We are very fortunate as our three kids (ages 10, 8 & 6) have been enrolled in their program for almost a year and we can already notice a huge difference in their school studies. It is a commitment for the kids as everyday they are required to do worksheets but the results over time are very noticeable. I can’t recommend it enough and my only regret is that we didn’t sign up sooner!

My son joined the amazing Kumon Ballantyne team last year for Maths. He enjoys his work at Kumon. We observed the improvements in his Math's work with good speed.
The owner and main instructor Ms. Alka is very helpful & always encourage her students. The entire team is really responsive. Though they ask the students to complete the challenges by their own, simultaneously they are always ready to support the kids while maintaining the kid's interest in the particular topic. Their approach helped the students for focused learning. Also Ms. Alka is always open for the suggestions from parents. She listens patiently the concerns and elaborate accordingly. This Kumon certain is definitely great, we heard great things about it and MS. Alka Garg, both of my kids do reading in this center for years and they love it, we love it as well!

Couple of things I love about the center and MS. Alka Garg:
1, they not work with you on the homework, correction, they also make my kids love reading
2, MS. Alka Garg is also a great resource for suggestions on how to educate my kids, certainly learnt a lot from home.
I would recommend this Kumon center to anyone!

Ms. Alka (and her staff many of whom are her own past students) has been instrumental in helping my sons catch up and progress in their essential foundations of math and reading. She really learns about each student as an individual and is a gifted teacher and accomplished Kumon instructor. Her Kumon branch has won numerous awards.
