A Beacon of Hope and Excellence: Our Experience at Maplebrook School
Navigating the world of special needs education can be daunting, but discovering Maplebrook School has been a transformative experience for our family. From the moment we drove up to the campus, it was clear that this school is a beacon of hope and excellence in special needs education. Being a Social Worker and have worked in schools in the past I can tell you from both a professional in the field and as a parent this is a great school. They service a population that is usually overlooked and is very hard to find appropriate schools.
The school’s commitment to individualized care is remarkable. Each child is recognized as a unique individual, with personalized learning plans tailored to their specific needs and strengths. The educators and staff are not only highly skilled but also deeply compassionate. They take the time to understand each student’s abilities and challenges, fostering an environment where every child can thrive.
The facilities are top-notch, they have everything a large Boarding School has, but the feel of a small school. The learning spaces are vibrant and welcoming, promoting both academic and social development. The school also offers a range of extracurricular activities that are thoughtfully adapted to ensure every student can participate and enjoy.
One of the most impressive aspects of the Maplebrook School is its emphasis on communication and collaboration with families. Regular updates and open lines of communication ensure that we are always informed and involved in our daughter’s progress and development. The dedication of the staff to not just our child but our entire family has been truly heartwarming.
The positive changes we’ve seen in our daughter since she started at Maplebrook School are nothing short of extraordinary. She is more confident, more engaged, and more excited about learning. The supportive and nurturing environment has made a profound difference in her life, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.
We couldn’t be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter here, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any family seeking a nurturing, empowering, and enriching educational experience for their child.

Probably one of the worst places I've been 2
I I'd not even last a month their before my parents took me out and let me go home 4 good
A lot of the staff were rude and yelled at kids 4 dumb reasons
I say like 5 staff understood me and were nice
I've had a lot of friends who r leaving this school because of the horrible ways the people treat us
I would say if u want 2 send a kid 2 a place I recommend wediko children's services I'm windsor nh
update: i just heard from some friends earlier who still go their (not naming names) that the school staff yell at them and then they force them to write. good review so basically if u see a student with like a teacher name in a review they were
forced to that so yeah they really actually mean a 1 star on this place but they were forced to do a 4 star or 5 so yeah the r forcing the kids to false advertise

Please don't send your child to this school. The only positive experience here, was that our son made some nice friends, and we met some great families. This school is NOT equipped to handle special education students' academic needs, and/or their social/emotional needs. The range of academic needs and behaviors is vast and extreme. Students are lumped into classes with a gamut of learning abilities and behaviors. Our son's education suffered, due to a poor curriculum and knowledge of how to lead and teach students in a special needs school. Academic modifications don't happen, and there is not a certified special education teacher working with students. There are no guidance counselors or therapists. With so many special needs students, it is utterly flooring , that there aren't multiple special education teachers on staff. OT is privately outsourced. All students get punished for the behaviors of a few, or incidents get pushed under the rug and hidden from parents. If you have an emergency, it is nearly impossible to reach a staff member after hours-even during school hours. Our son was humiliated and called names by staff, multiple times, and we are left to deal with the aftermath of this unimaginable trauma. He was physically assaulted by a student on campus and was made to sit alone at the cafeteria. Humiliation is commonly used as a means for behavior, and the staff and student turnover rate is substantial. It is a tragedy, as this school has such potential, if it were run properly by qualified and caring leaders. We did not hear back from the board, when we issued several complaints. Students are afraid to speak up and complain. Inappropriate problems/incidents occur, that the school keeps hidden. When our son was assaulted, the students were told to not tell their families about what had happened to him. Our child was called names and was told that he held up the dorm after having a seizure. He was sent to the hospital after having another seizure, with the wrong list of medications. The ugly scars from this school will forever haunt him and us. Don't let the pretty campus fool you. I have two Masters in education, and can't believe this school hasn't been shut down. It should be.
