I started writing this review so many times, trying to find the best words to describe my experience with Honey Bear. In 2021, my husband and I visited multiple childcare when we moved to CT. We were so fortunate to meet Ms. Cindy who was friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic person who took her time to explain us and show us around the different programs they had. The teachers and staff are professionals, warm, caring, and hard-working. The best description "THEY ARE EXCELLENT." They are very attentive and compassionate and treat your children as if they are their own. The director, Catherine Vanicky, is very approachable and responsive, always does her best to help you in any way she can! She loves children. The facility is clean, renovated, and most important for me SECURE. Classrooms are by age with plenty of books, toys, and supplies. Playgrounds are amazing where children can have fun, learn, and interact with nature. I feel so happy, blessed, and grateful that Honey Bear was part of my daughters' development and growth, preparing them for kindergarten. I recommend them 200% and believe when they say it is a family working team. Honey Bear offers so many family activities where parents can share and spend time with their children. They are great at communicating about any issues. One thing I like most is the fact that they care a lot about children health. The last thing I have to say is THANK YOU. My 5 year old Graduated from honey bear day care and she is the first of 3 kids which I needed support so that I can work and attend school full time, and as a parent trusting others is very hard and with all the things you see or hear on the news about staff and daycares it’s very stressful, well with honey bear they have high tech security in which they have codes at the door to enter the building and you have to physically use your finger print to sign your child in and out if your self or spouse are not on the pick up list no one can even enter the building or pick up your child which made me feel really safe also they use an app which you can communicate and actually harass them lol ask a thousand times how your child is doing and they send pictures of the children having fun in their huge playground and they have time to endure the nature like plant and flower picking ugh I just love this for the children they get to be kids and enjoy the outside. Honey bear school is very family oriented all staff work well as a team and treat you with such love. If your ever in a crisis they also will be there for you I went through sort of a crisis and I had no one to turn to or even trust because I was going through a lot and let me tell you they stand up for you they go above and beyond they also can be used as a reference at any period of your life. They are just not about the money they treat your child as family they also treat you as family. The director is an amazing woman she loves what’s she does this day care has been passed down from generation to generation and it’s what I love about them. Oh and miss Jen she is kind and loving my daughter comes home singing all the songs they learned from miss Jen and the manners that my 5 year old has Melts my heart. The Graduation was beautiful seeming my child in a cap and gown was very special. We got to decorate them as well. Honey bear was a blessing for my family and I! After moving to Stratford I came across this learning center , they helped me with so much. My children enjoyed going to school everyday and while going through a divorce and not being able to afford daycare a short period , the owner allowed my children to stay with no charge in the meantime I was able to figure out my payments . They are understanding and most important of all a safe environment for the children. I can honestly recommend this learning center to anyone and agree it is a family atmosphere.

As a parent who recently enrolled my 7-month-old in this daycare program, my husband and I are absolutely thrilled with our experience at Honey Bear Learning Center so far! From our very first visit, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to make sure both my baby and I were a part of their family and their kindness was truly heartwarming.

Ms. Lynette & Ms. Amore are both exceptional educators — so incredibly sweet and genuinely attentive to my child's individual needs. It’s clear they have a passion for early childhood education, and their dedication to creating a nurturing environment is evident the moment you enter their classroom. My little one has already shown joy and enthusiasm in attending Honey Bear, which I attribute to the loving care she receives.

One of the features that has made an impact for me is the program’s use of the Procare application. I absolutely love receiving photo updates throughout the day; it’s such a comfort to see those precious moments and it helps me to feel connected to my child's day while I'm at work.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with our decision to join the Honey Bear Infant-Toddler program. It’s a safe nurturing program where my child is cared for with kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a caring and supportive environment for their little one!

Honey bear is the best preschool, hands down. My son has been going since he was six months and is now going on three years old. He loves his teachers, he’s excited to go in everyday, he feels safe and secure there. The teachers are excellent with communication and work closely with parents to identify our children’s strengths but also provide strategies to help them improve in areas where they need development. Miss Cathie has created a culture of love and support centered around preparing our children for kindergarten and a lifetime of learning. This is truly a special school and we are lucky to be members of the Honey Bear Family.

Anyone looking for an exceptional Preschool and Childcare center with highly-qualified teachers, stimulating curriculum, and offers each child an opportunity to grow to their full potential, I highly recommend Honey Bear Learning Center, located in Stratford, CT. I started as a parent with Honey Bear in 1989 with my daughter as she transitioned from a home daycare to a full-time, year-round preschool until she was ready for kindergarten, for as I was a working mom.
My daughter is now grown up and has selected Honey Bear as her number 1 pick for childcare for her own children. My first grandchild started when the Infant/Toddler program was opened in 2018 at the age of 14 months. She graduated from there 2022, and is now entering in 2nd grade. She has wonderful memories, made friends for life and even thrived during COVID with the help of the teachers. Now my second grandchild is attending and started at 6 months old. He just turned 2 years old and doing great in the same upbeat environment as the first child. I’m so excited to see my grandchildren thrive in the same kind of nurturing and learning environment as my daughter did many years ago.
It’s a true testament to the success and longevity of a program that focuses on the needs of each child as individuals and their families.
Honey Bear has an awesome outdoor play yard which is divided up by age and classrooms. My grandkids have loved each play yard as each play yard has different features based on development. The school is equipped with the latest security system and protocols which provides additional safety for the children, parents and staff.
Once again, it’s been an amazing experience for me as a parent and a grandparent.

My child, who is now 2 years old, has been coming to Honey Bear since she was 6 months old. She has built such a strong connection with all her teachers. They taught her how to communicate when she was very young with sign language and now, she is blossoming with her language skills. She was required to wear a helmet at school and was in physical therapy prior to starting Honey Bear. After much collaboration with her physical therapist and teaching staff, Infant and Toddler teachers adapted to her needs and helped her graduate from the helmet and physical therapy. As a staff member who works at Honey Bear, I have not only seen my child grow, but I have seen many other children grow through the love and compassion of qualified teachers and staff, who make us feel like a family.

We LOVE Honeybear! So much so that my child says she doesn’t want to go to kindergarten and would rather stay here. They are a kind and loving staff and I know my child is in great hands when she is in their care. My child has a couple of medical issues and they are diligent in ensuring her safety at all times.
