Best classes I have ever taken. The connection with our teacher Patrick was awesome and he did a phenomenal job. I definitely feel stronger and more prepared to help guide others into a life of recovery. I'm a recovering addict so my compassion is my driving force to help others. Our classes took place in Marinette Wisconsin!!!

I was lucky enough to have gone to CCAR meetings in Hartford when I was in treatment for my alcoholism. The meetings were very helpful, and all of the volunteers there were thoughtful and kind. They were always available to listen and to give advice. They were able to make me feel positive about my recovery, instead of me feeling guilty and ashamed.
I have been home for almost a month now, and I still get a phone call once a week from a volunteer. And when I couldn't find a ride to meetings when I was home, I reached out to Jovan, a volunteer in Hartford, and he gave me a number to call. And after I called the number I've been able to get to rides to meetings. And Jovan still checks up on me a couple of times a week.
The volunteers here really care about what they do. They are amazing people.
If you've got a substance abuse problem, and you're looking for some help or guidance, give them a call. I probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for Jovan, and the rest of the volunteers.

Too much to write. It broke my heart to hear they "couldn't help" With something as simple as a ride to Hartford for someone to start the methadone clinic. I don't think I'll ever understand their purpose,
I know it's not their problem. HE is my brother and I love him. Ik they don't care that something terrible could happen, I DO CARE, don't worry I figured it out on my own.
Thank you for no help.

I Love This Place. They really help people who are struggling with Addiction and the Community as a Whole. I Love what they Stand 4. They Have a training called Recovery Coaching Academy, Where any addict that is in Recovery can get this training and after the training You can begin to help other addicts in Need. They Also have in September of Every Year, The Walk in Recovery Day in Bushnell Park in Hartford. It's a day for the Community where they can bring the whole family for a day of Fun, Food and Music. I Love Going There on that Day. They Have CCAR Centers in Bridgeport, Willimantic, Hartford and Derby. If You or Anyone you know Needs to go to a Safe place where they can spend their day without the use of alcohol or drugs and get eduvational information about their addiction, then CCAR is the Place 2 Be!! See You There!!! 🙏🙌👑😇😁😎✌
