I took the Sewing Machine 101 class with Laura. It was the perfect intro or refresher course if you haven't used a machine in many years. I would totally recommend taking classes here! I hope to take more in the future.

The Adult Sewing Machine 101 class is great! I loved it! Laura is an excellent teacher! We all made a small bag and we all left the class excited to go on to do more. I also appreciate that Hartford Stitch had sewing machines that we could use for the class. I am looking forward to taking more classes at Hartford Stitch.

My daughter had a private lesson learning the basics of using a sewing machine. She had so much fun and Miss Laura was incredibly patient and kind. She can't wait to go back!

Laura and her partner did an amazing job hosting my daughter's 9th birthday party at Hartford Stitch. They were helpful in teaching the girls how to sew, but let each girl do their own work. The girls were smiling from ear to ear and you could tell they were really proud of themselves that they created something on a sewing machine. The space is so warm and inviting. Highly recommend for birthday parties or taking one of their classes.

Communication before the class was great, so we knew just what to bring and what to expect from the session. My daughter is very new to sewing and the introductory class was perfect. She was able to bring her own sewing machine and Laura walked her through all the steps to get her up and running. The projects she completed were excellently planned so they were easy enough for an eight-year old, while still instilling confidence in her abilities. The classes were fun, and my daughter loved working with Laura. We now have a very excited sewer in the house who can’t wait to attend her next class at Hartford Stitch!

I took a one-time class with Laura on making rope bowls and it was just what I needed. (Watching YouTube tutorials was fine, but I can sometimes get in my head about it. Laura's patience helped me get over the hurdle and come away with a beautiful new bowl.)

I was so thrilled, I signed my child up for Kids 101. They were reluctant when I dropped them off. Two hours later, my child was begging to be signed up for the afterschool program for the full school year. They love the team at Hartford Stitch. My child has come to the program with ideas for what they want to do, and Laura helps them figure out how to make it work (even when it might be a stretch for their current skill set).

Hartford Stitch is a total gem and absolutely worth the investment, whether you're a beginner sewist or experienced.

Spent a few weeks immersed in fabric, needles and sewing machines in the Winter Foundation Series at Hartford Stitch! So much learning and egads of fun! The instruction is exceptional, offering projects for all skill levels, from the rookie to the more seasoned sewer! Will absolutely return for future classes and workshops as my sewing journey continues!
