Whitley was amazing through my pregnancy, delivery and post partum. She was so comforting, nurturing and supportive and advocated for me when needed. She was also very knowledgeable and helped me to understand my body during labor and this save me an hour of pushing! Whitley was also supportive to my husband. Whitley is the best! I started services at 28 weeks with Whitley. Let me start off & say. My pregnancy wasn’t the easiest also being in a difficult position. Whitley was there with me through it all, mentally and physically just really showing she cares. Keeping me motivated and showing me my needs and concerns matter when im at doctors appointments. Specially with all the negative doubts the doctors that came from the doctors during my pregnancy. She made sure I stayed positive and level headed though it all. Whitley is the best doula because she’s an overachiever. I was alone during my pregnancy no family or friends support. Around 31 weeks I had very bad sciatic pains. At that point I just couldn’t do it anymore I was so over pregnancy and most of the exercises recommended a partner. So Whitley goes out of her way to come help and massage me. I felt so much better, I was so grateful. Me being induced at 35 weeks I was in labor for 19 hours right when Whitley came I gave birth. I think my daughter was excited to meet the wonderful lady who helps us through it all. I had the best experience ever and Whitley still keeps in contact with me and my daughter.

I cannot express enough gratitude of how thankful we were for Whitley. She is such an amazing doula and has made the whole experience of labor and delivery pleasant from teaching pain management to different laboring positions and her knowledge expands to a lactation consultant also. Whitley is such a great addition to have in the delivery room and she will advocate for your wants and needs, she will make sure you are as comfortable as possible. For my first labor experience I would highly recommend having Whitley as your doula for all your pregnacies!

Whitley is amazing! When my partner and I first met with Whitley, her calming presence, whole person approach to her care, and her dedication to women of color's maternal health made her seem like the perfect fit for us. Whitley's education and support of both of us helped us develop the knowledge and confidence to feel prepared at every stage and to advocate for what I wanted for my body and birth. Whenever I was stressed or had questions, a call to Whitley always calmed me down, and she gave us great advice. Thanks to her, my birth experience was a positive one that I look back on with pride and gratitude. Her postpartum support has also been so important and helped us transition seamlessly into parenthood. I wholeheartedly recommend Whitley!

If you’re on the fence about a doula, Whitley will have you wondering how you ever considered going without one! I’m a physician and thought being in healthcare I may not need one, but I’m so grateful to have booked her. She is so genuine, knowledgeable, and personable and made my husband and I feel so confident going into birth. Prior to birth, I was being pressured for induction earlier than I would like and I called her in a spiral and she grounded me and walked me through my own thoughts! We went into the hospital the only week she was on vacation, but she made sure we had already met our backup doula and it never felt like she just handed us off. Even though she had passed the reigns for the birth, she checked in on us the entire hospital stay WHILE on vacation and postpartum! Even without her physically there, I felt so empowered in my birth, especially when plans started to change. My husband knew the ways he could help and he showed up and felt confident doing in thanks to Whitley! 1000% recommend.

When I realized at 36 weeks that I felt underprepared for childbirth, I worried that I would be unable to find a doula or a childbirthing education class on short notice, and was not thrilled about the idea of doing impersonal online modules. After I found Whitley and reached out, she responded promptly to my inquiry and scheduled sessions with my partner and I for less than a week later. She was able to work around our schedules and arrange sessions in the evening. We were so relieved to have both a virtual personal session with her in which she was very comprehensive and thorough in covering aspects of childbirth, identifying our goals and preferences and providing materials for us to review, followed by an in-person session at our home the next day. She brought supplies including a round ball and peanut ball and educated us on techniques used during laboring and had us practice them. She gave us handouts and helped measure nipple size for ordering breast pumping products. Whitley was warm, friendly and so knowledgeable- we instantly felt at ease after meeting her. After our sessions with her, we felt so much better prepared and more confident going into the final weeks of pregnancy. I ended up unexpectedly needing a C-section 2 weeks prior to my due date so I was unable to call on Whitley for the actual birth or apply the laboring techniques I learned which was disappointing for us but we ended up with a healthy baby and are grateful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for similar services and hope I have the opportunity to use her again in the future!

Whitley is heaven sent! I couldn’t imagine any birth experience without including her. She has a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about this work, which is evident in your every interaction with her. I would definitely recommend everyone get a doula for their pregnancy, and birth. She provided us with prenatal consultations, during my pregnancy so that we could prepare for our birth. When we were actually in labor all of the terminology and advice she gave was very beneficial! Whitley has so many connections to different community organizations. Overall it has been a really great experience!! I highly recommend her!
