To be fair, it’s been a few years since we tried this place for our son who has autism. So hopefully there have been some changes. Our son’s public school teacher did try to tell us that they were using similar techniques/principles at his school and we should save our money. But I thought that if we would be paying thousands of dollars each month here then it’s got to be better and something special, right? Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. What I noticed about the model is that they had a psychologist or teaching specialist who basically designed a plan. But she was not the one who actually spent much time with the child. It was these folks who didn't really have much teaching experience, if any. We basically spent thousands of dollars for people who seemed to have minimal training in teaching kids with special needs, to show flashcards over and over to our son, while he just ignored them. Finally, we decided to pull him out. Maybe their methods work over extended periods of time or with kids who have minimal-mild learning difficulties but we didn’t think it was worth the exorbitant cost. They did have good customer service and communication was good.

My step daughter has attended the school for almost 3 years now. Her progress has been amazing. She loves learning and is doing so well. The individualized attention and the Lindamood Bell process is the winning combination. And for this, we're so grateful. The large classrooms in the public school didnt suit her learning needs. We're so happy we found Lindamood Bell Academy.
