Unprofessional and Heartless!

I am beyond disappointed with how my niece was treated at this daycare. After being enrolled here for quite some time, they suddenly decided to kick her out for supposedly displaying ā€œaggressive behaviorā€ towards other children and staff. The director had been working with her and even recommended therapy, which my sister immediately followed through on. Yet, after all that effort and communication, my sister was handed a piece of paper at pickup, told to ā€œread it when you get home,ā€ only to find out that her daughter was kicked out THAT evening. How does someone do that to a single mother? This treatment is not only rude but downright unprofessional.

Having worked in daycare myself for 7 years, I understand how challenging it can be to work with kids who struggle to communicate or express themselves. But we NEVER gave up on them, and we certainly never resorted to kicking them out. It’s unacceptable that this daycare chose abandonment over understanding and support.

It’s also worth noting that this so-called ā€œaggressive behaviorā€ started only within the last year after a new teacher was involved. My niece had been there a long time before with no issues. This makes me wonder if there’s something else going on behind the scenes.

And as if that wasn’t enough, I feel like they handled this behavior unjustly. Sending photos of my niece not wanting to do circle time solved what? What did YOU guys do to handle it? Did you reprimand her? Did you try to discipline her? Or did you just keep sending her to the office for snacks.
After reading another review where the owner Pauline was called out for being racist, I have no problem believing it. It seems like the daycare has no problem showing bias when it comes to how they handle children of color. My niece did NOT deserve this kind of abandonment, and I wouldn’t trust this place to care for any child. As a new parent of twin boys, I’m truly disgusted.

Parents, please be cautious before trusting this center with your little ones.

UPDATE: My niece since being KICKED OUT has thrived at her new daycare. No issues whatsoever, she loves going to school and seems like she’s learned more there in about 2 weeks than she ever has at this center. Even comes home with homework. It was also learned she was comprehension deficit, meaning it may take her longer to comprehend instructions. Had this unprofessional center learned that, there could’ve been a plan brought up together. Once again, parents be cautious before sending your kids here unless you’re desperate.

My grandson goes here for daycare. He'll be 2 years old in a few weeks. It just so happens that his Mama works here to. The staff of daycare providers are a mix of young women in their 20's and a few older gals and also a couple young men too!! Everyone is so nice. My grandson Amari seems to be comfortable there. Especially now since they moved his Mama down to his daycare.

I have a lot of respect for the owner of this daycare. She seems passionate and really was very helpful with me getting my daughter in. Although I ended up going somewhere closer to my job for my daughter’s child care, she even fully refunded me for the week my daughter went. Which as a single mother, meant a lot to me.
