What a nice facility, with beautiful grounds and space for exploring nestled in the heart of Windsor. With that said, IT ENDS THERE!!! It was so promising visiting the daycare with the organization of how things were and the layout of classrooms. Not to mention the convenience of how close it is to our home. We’ve since moved our kids to a further daycare... much further!!

The staff (Mora) including the Director (Kate) seem incompetent when it comes to children. Almost as if they expect toddlers to be robots and perfect. Their policy and protocols are outdated and do not lend to working parents!!

I’ve overheard conversations of teachers speaking about other kids and it was horrific to think of what they may say about our kids when ears aren’t around. They make excuses for why your children can’t come to school while willing accepting your payments! Refusing to assist your children in making sure they used the bathroom, complaining of kids coughing and not covering their mouths. Their understanding of toddlers and their patience to teach them are misaligned. Our money will be spent elsewhere!! It’s unfortunate that such a great facility is being misrepresented by staff. Some thing has to be done.

So glad we’ve moved them!

Highly recommend First Church Early Learning Center! Both my daughters have gone there and learned so much. They not only have a great curriculum but they allow children to explore through hands on experience. The teachers are compassionate, diligent, educated and dedicated to bettering the children in their care. Thankful to have such a wonderful preschool in my town!

So glad my child gets to go here! My kid loves her class and how what they learn is decided by the interests of the students. My child also loves her teachers both in her class and in the other classrooms that support her throughout the day. The director, Ms. Kate, was super helpful during the application process and welcomed our family warmly.

First Church has been one of the biggest blessings for my family. As a mom with a VERY active child, this facility has not only helped my son develop emotionally, they also have fostered his desire to learn. I have been highly impressed with the daily structures and the implemented curriculum as I have noted the growth in my child academically. The staff to student ratio is phenomenal, as it is nearly impossible to find small and intimate learning centers for 3–5-year-olds. My sons class has about 14 students to 2 teachers. I am so grateful for the small class sizes and all the patience the staff and administration have in working with my child. There is no better feeling as a parent then knowing that your child is well taken care of and that they enjoy their time at school. As an active parent I highly appreciate the consistent school to home communication from staff that keep me updated on how my child’s day is going. I look forward to my weekly pictures and blurb about what the class has done/learned over the course of the week. I could certainly go on about all the things I am grateful for in working with this program, but I’d be remiss if I did not touch on how helpful income-based tuition has been. In a society where childcare is so expensive, I am thankful for a program that not only charges reasonable tuition, but also goes above and beyond for the kiddos. I appreciate the FCELC staff for all they have done and continue to do 😊

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! I feel sooo bad for the children that has to attend this place. The director and teacher Mora treat the kids so bad! I can not speak for the others but have seen first hand how they treat some of these kiddos. May god bless their little hearts cause if it was my CHILD this daycare would be shut down! Talk to yall kids parents. Never know what’s going on in that place

My oldest is currently enrolled at FCELC and we have had a wonderful experience both in the half and full day programs. My daughter looks forward to going to school every day and we continue to be impressed with the creativity and thoughtfulness that goes into the curriculum each week. The teachers send out weekly updates about what the class has been learning with photos.

We've been really impressed by the activities the kids get to participate, things like Try Day Friday each week where the kids get to make a new recipe and eat what they've made together. They kids also help to grow a garden together in the spring/summer time and it's been fun to watch my daughter try new vegetables and have a better understanding of where her food comes from. The kids also get to take 3 farm field trips each school year and have regular librarian visits for story time. During summer time, the kids get to do special summer camp activities, like water play, and have themed activity days that my daughter really looks forward to.

All of the teachers and the director are wonderful, caring, and responsive. Would highly recommend FCELC!

I highly recommend FCELC. Both of my daughters have gone through the program- one is currently enrolled. The staff is warm and welcoming, communicative and patient. My daughter begins and ends her day happy, and if she does not, they lovingly take the time to problem solve, model language and teach her self-regulation skills to cope with challenges. They expose the kids to different activities, while adhering to a predictable schedule. There's ample opportunities to craft, explore nature, move their bodies and learn essential social play/interactive skills. There is a large focus on social-emotional learning, which I feel is the most important at this age. They also have a fair and modest student to teacher ratio, so I feel that each child is given the attention they need.

They navigated the challenges of COVID with the utmost precaution, while being understanding to a diverse population of students and families. I not once felt nervous about dropping my daughter off at school during the pandemic.

I feel the staff works so hard, and does an amazing job of preparing the kids for their elementary education. I'm really happy with my experience, and my daughter will most definitely be enrolled again next year.
