I’ve been here a few times. Food is good here, but it’s pricey. The owner and chef came by and talked to me and my partner and told us about the restaurant. I usually get a lomo saltado. If you’re in the area and manage to find parking around the alleys, it’s not a bad place to eat. Just be mindful that if you want chicken also on the lomo saltado, it’s a $10 up charge

Came on a Sunday about 7:40pm, they close at 8pm but they were still willing to accommodate us. Ordered to-go, but they insisted we eat there. Food came out quick. It tasted very authentic and delicious. We got the Lomo Saltado, the ceviche mixto and 2 sopes plate. The green sauce was so good. There is a bar sitting area on the inside and a few tables on the outside. They accept cards, cash or zelle. Definitely recommend this hole in the wall.

Love this local gem! Lomo is the best and they never miss and you can see I never leave anything on my plate.

An absolute must in LA! I rarely travel to the same place and even more so I do not eat at the same place. However, I would happily dine at Mex Peru Gipsy again and again.

We were blown away by the Loma soltada and the ceviche mixto. Flavors tickled the senses and fed the soul. We took a chicken sandwich to go but it is best enjoyed hot like most of their dishes should as they come quick off the fire with excellent service.

This little hole in the wall is surrounded by a fabrics market which is a nice change of pace from the harsh adjacent downtown. Eat some loma and stroll around to see a side of LA you might not expect.

We truly hit the jackpot with this place!!
My bf and I were walking around Santee Alley and he was craving Mexican but I was not lol. I looked up on yelp Mexican restaurants and this place came up! I love Peruvian food and my bf wanted Mexican so it was the perfect combo! The service was excellent, I felt like I was eating at my grandparents house. The place may be small but it was a big hit in my book. Will be returning soon with family and friends!

It is so good that I came back 2 times!! Food is just delicious. Don't expect a fancy place, but the atmosphere is just amazing. It is the only place that I know that serves Mexican, Peruvian, and Gipsy food. The first day, I tried Ceviche and arros chaufa, and it was as authentic as it can be, the second day eat a delicious pork chop en salsa de molcajete, I have never tasted something like that. On my next visit to LA, I will try the Gipsy food that I imagine is just as good since it was lots of clients for that as well.
