You can experience a variety of narrow and beautiful hiking trails. The waterfall is divided into upper and lower parts and is very beautiful. The hiking trail is mostly muddy, so it is recommended to wear hiking shoes. It takes about an hour to easy walk 2.4 miles in a loop and is a very good path to walk with your dog.

Only founded in 2016, the Great Hollow Nature Preserve & Ecological Research Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to biodiversity conservation, experiential environmental education, ecological research and passive outdoor recreation.

That last bit will appeal to casual visitors, as you’re free to visit their 825-acre preserve, heading out on more than five miles of walking trails, right here in New Fairfield.

There are also programs to look into, like guided nature walks and monthly “Kids’ Nature Nights”, which are loaded with fun but educational activities and have a different theme each month.

Beautiful brook with waterfalls. As a hiker i loved it for it had the right amount of ups and downs. There a 2 locations with an overlook.

Nice hike to a beautiful waterfall.

We popped in spontaneously on a weekday afternoon just to see what's going on. Things seemed to be closed so we don't know what they do there. There is a holding area with injured birds. We went to the top of the observation tower, but not much to see. Research in advance to find out best time to visit.

Nice trails, peaceful waterfall
