Worst experience I have ever had. I was refer to this place by my medical provider. I was seeking help but instead of helping me they charge me $200 for missing my very first appointment without providing me with guidance on how the telehealth appointment login worked , when I call to inquire the receptionist was rude , insensitive, they had no concern for my mental well being . They charge me $200 which I could not afford right before the holiday, went seeking help for depression and anxiety and all they did was cause me more depression and anxiety.

The CT healing center was the only provider I called who someone answered and I got setup with a Therapist by the next morning. The office staff and my Therapist Gina are amazing. If you are looking for mental health definitely recommend giving them a call!

I was recommended the CT Healing Center by my OB and have since informed her to no longer recommend this place. The therapist are good, however they only offer virtual meetings still. The office manager and owner are extremely unprofessional to talk to and cannot believe that they can be considered a therapist office. If you are looking for therapy and want the option of in office or virtual and want to be treated with total respect I highly recommend MJA Behavioral Health and Wellness in Shelton. You will be treated like a human being and not just a dollar sign. CT Healing Center is in this for profit only.

The billing manager Donna Ricci is horrible to work with. She is insensitive and made my experience with CT Healing unpleasant. She knew my circumstances and told me that she was willing to work with me, but completely lied. I would recommend going elsewhere to find treatment.

Unprofessional and Profit-Driven
I had a disheartening experience at the CT Healing Center that I feel compelled to share. For over a year, I was on a medication regimen that seemed to be working for me. On a recent visit, the provider recommended increasing my dosage, which I agreed to. However, they only provided a 30-day prescription without any explanation or follow-up plan.

When I missed an appointment – partly because they don’t send out any reminders – they refused to refill my prescription, leaving me in a lurch. On top of this, they charged me an exorbitant $100 fee for missing a virtual 15 minutes appointment.

Their actions forced me to discontinue the medication and seek out another healthcare professional who prioritizes patient care over profit. I believe that a healthcare provider should support and provide stability, especially when it comes to mental health medication management. Unfortunately, the CT Healing Center seems more focused on their bottom line than on the well-being of their patients.

I advise others to be cautious and look elsewhere for empathetic and patient-focused care.

The therapists and APRN’s there are absolutely amazing. I absolutely have no issues with them. The reason why I am giving 1 star, is that Donna and the whole policy is awful. I lost all of my future appointments because I am unable to pay for a written letter by my therapists.Mind you, I am a college student who’s living paycheck to paycheck (80-100 a week) and it’s extremely difficult for money right now. Because I didn’t pay the $100 cost for a letter, I lost all my future appointments which I will most likely not be able to get back. I am just upset because I explained that I am struggling with money right now to the office, but I will pay the fee once I have enough money, but still lost all my future appointments. It’s an unrealistic place to go if you struggle with money, because there’s no understanding from the business.

The therapists are nice.

But on the admin/business side, they operate like loan sharks/collection agency. I was seeing a therapist weekly. Made all my appointments. Cancelled in an appropriate time if I had to. Etc.

My grandmother passed, and I was out of town for her funeral. Where I was, the signal was non-existent. And there were a bunch of bad storms and my flight was delayed by a day. I wasn't able to cancel in 48 hrs. Instead of being considerate of a very sensitive situation, they pretty much called me a liar and would not allow me to continue with my therapy sessions until the cancellation fee was paid. Also would not refill my prescriptions.

Paid the fee. But I don't like the way it was handled. So I won't be back, likely. Which is a shame, because they were making good money off of me. I hope the $60 was worth it.

Other reviews have said the same. On the therapy side, they're ok. On the money side, they're too aggresive.

The staff and ownership here at CT Healing are amazing people. I have known this practice and Jennifer Barba for 10 yrs and have always been incredibly impressed with their professionalism and capability to help an underserved population. Thank you for all that you do for people struggling with mental health disorders.
