They're so compassionate here. It's nice to be treated like a human being, and not feel humiliated by having to ask for help! Even the receptionist is helpful and sweet.

This place is the greatest! All of the staff are very helpful and friendly. They have so many resources available to people that are struggling....ad and you don't feel judged or "less than" asking for help here. God bless this place.

These people or at leas the person who answers the phone has an attitude every time. Seems she is being disturbed or something. On top of that they tell you something and then when you call back to get those services from them they ask: "Who told you that!!?" ... with said attitude. Not: " May I ask who you spoke with so I can direct your call to the appropriate person." When you try to explain, they get nastier and put you on hold. I was in need of heating oil, and it was explained to me by another organization how it works. They said first you go to TVCCA, then Groton Social Services and then the Jewish Federation. So after I qualified for TVCCA fuel assistance, Groton SS told me to wait until I got to 1/4 tank and call them. So that's what I did. And this same woman with attitude didn't like it when I responded to her question with: "wow, I get this all the time when I call here". Because I do. I thought they were suppose to be helping the community It seems I thought wrong.

Groton Human Services are Life Saving Services in Every Way! From Counseling to Feeding the Hungry
Groton Human Services does it all. Advocacy for Grandparent's to Sailing camp for youth's. You can even register to Vote! They Are very friendly and Extremely helpful & kind
