I would not take another test at this location.

The chairs were uncomfortable, the rooms were crowded, and the heat in the building was basically non-functional. It was only maybe 60°F in the testing area. Also the hot water in the bathroom did not work, which just added to the unpleasant climate in the building.

The proctor was friendly and helpful, however.

I popped in the day before my ASWB Bachelors Exam to familiarize myself with the site. When I came back for my exam, the environment was clean, quiet, and inviting. Setup was a breeze. Ms. Lois was most helpful to me and friendly, which calmed my anxiety a lot. I was able to test comfortably and was in and out (no distractions). It was my first time testing and I am happy to report that I passed! Made the drive from Dayton to this site and it was worth it. I do recommend testing here.

The employees Lois and Ernst at this location provided a distracting, hostile and uncomfortable testing environment.
Loud music is played, the employees are rude and your belongings are compromised.
If you want to be able to focus on your exam I would go somewhere else.

I scheduled with Tactix to take a credential exam as it serves as a Pearson Vue testing proctor site. My testing appointment was confirmed March 16. Then, March 28, I received an email that Tactix could not proctor my test after all. This is so incredibly frustrating. I need to take this exam in order to pass a practicum class and graduate in April. The organization the test is for has also not been informed that Tactix has canceled my appointment, so I’m unable to reschedule the exam at a different testing center. Bottom line: DO NOT utilize this business as a testing site. I wish I’d read other reviews earlier and scheduled with a more reliable testing site.

Staff were professional and knowledgeable. The proctor took the time to find answers to questions that they did not have to take the time to find out for me. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. They move quickly and efficiently, I saw another person with a problem with their exam and the proctor seemed to know exactly what to do in order to get everything fixed quickly. It's not the most up-to-date center with the latest and greatest computers but they are adequate, they get the job done and the staff make going to the center a head above the others I visited and I will return here for all of my exams. Specifically Netra, best proctor I've seen in a long time.

First off, I'm only writing about my experience with Tactix as a Pearson Vue testing center. I understand they do lots of other things but this review is ONLY about my experience taking an exam through Pearson Vue at their location.

Pros: The staff were extremely professional, even when I gave them a hard time (see below). There was ample parking, the office was easy to find, and I was checked in quickly in order for me to take my exam. The exam facility was clean and I was able to get started on my test quickly once seated.

Cons: The lady at the front desk gave me a hard time because I hadn't signed any of my credit cards and she wanted to a second form of ID with which to verify my signature. I don't like signing credit cards and usually write "See Photo ID" on the back instead for security purposes so I had nothing in my wallet with a signature on it, except my primary ID, an Ohio Drivers License. My usual testing center in the area only checks to make sure the name on my credit card matches the name on my drivers license and doesn't check signatures. Maybe Tactix checks names because they haven't figure out that Ohio drivers licenses have the owner's signature under his/her picture so they don't need another signature from a credit card. Who knows. The lady at the front desk was at least kind enough to allow me to put Scotch tape on the back of my credit card and sign that so I could pull it off later but I've never had to go through such a hassle verifying my identity at Pearson Vue before and I've taken a LOT of Cisco exams and many different centers across the Midwest.

Next, they told me I had to spit out my gum because they've had people stick it on chairs and under desks before. I don't know what kind of riffraff test here but I'm 32 and I don't think I've put used gum anywhere but a trash can since I was 3 or 4. Oh, and they said the sound of chewing gum could bother other test takers, despite the fact that there are free ear plugs available for those who are worried about distractions.

The WORST part was they made me hand over my wallet and keys before entering the testing room. I know no electronic devices are allowed in a Pearson Vue test so I left my cellphone in the car but held on to my wallet and keys, which I was forced to surrender. At my usual testing center they have lockers so it's no big deal. I get my own padlock and key, which I am allowed to take into the testing center so I know my property is secure. Here? No lockers. Just a plain old manila envelope in the receptionist's desk that doesn't even get sealed. Needless to say, if I find myself a victim of identity theft in the next few months the first place I'm going to blame is Tactix since they're the only people besides me and my wife who have EVER had unrestricted access to my wallet when I wasn't around. They need to fix this policy and fast, not only for their testers peace of mind but also for the sake of limiting their own liability.

All in all, while the staff at TCG was indeed professional they still treated me like a child compared to other facilities where I've tested. Not something I'm used to as a 32-year-old professional who chews with his mouth closed, doesn't stick gum under desks and chairs, and generally behaves himself. Needless to say, I will not go back here and I suggest you avoid it as well. There are plenty of other testing centers around Cincinnati to choose from.

I had a great experience testing for my Ohio Broker exams! I didn’t have to wait long to start my test and the testing room was quiet and comfortable!

The woman who did my fingerprints was friendly and efficient, when I called back a few days later, the male employee was rude, hung up on me, not helpful. Please go to another location for fingerprinting.
