Bright Horizons at UCLA really is an amazing place for kids to grow and learn and thrive. Our daughter had a wonderful experience there while we lived in LA, and we were incredibly sad to say bye to the kindhearted people who took amazing care of her. They truly cared about all facets of development (physical, social, emotional) and her mental well-being. She formed special bonds with several of her teachers, one of whom highlighted potential benefits of speech therapy. We pursued that suggestion and saw even more successes with our daughter’s ability to communicate with us and everyone around her and couldn’t be more thankful. I think very highly of Bright Horizons after our experience here, and would recommend it to any parent of young children!

This is by far the worst kindergarten I have ever witnessed: the children seem desperate and abandoned, there are only a few if any windows inside, the kids are surrounded by glass walls, the outdoor play area is surrounded by parking. While we visited there, we saw an under 3 month child (unable to roll over) just lying on his/her back while no teacher paid attention to him/her for over half an hour. How could this be? A ~1 year old child saw me and wife carrying our 1 year old kid, and started to cry helplessly, and noone was there to console him. Seems like a hopeless, desperate place where children are emotionally and physically abandoned, and you wouldn't want any child to go through it.

Please stay away from this school! They have horrible teachers who would scar your children for life! There is a teacher there at the kindergarten prep class named miss Lupe, she is lazy and doesn’t want to do her job! She is basically on the break the whole time, doesn’t pay attention to the kids. When kids misbehave ( because she is not there to supervise) she calls the parents to complain with her condescending tone! They basically have no curriculum and don’t teach anything to the kids. The kids run around most of the day unsupervised and they get injured. The staff keep quitting because of mismanagement and they are short staffed most of the time. If you ask them to write recommendation letters for your kid, they would say the most horrible things about your child because they know you would not see it, and then they tell you that they have written a positive letter about your child! Now is this back stabbing or what?

We're fully satisfied with Bright Horizons. We recently had a chance to enroll or kids in a very exclusive daycare but chose to stay at Bright Horizons because we know and trust them. The most important thing is that we feel the teachers truly love taking care of kids, are affectionate, and they have an outstanding range of activities that are both fun and educational. On top of that, they're open more days than pretty much any other daycare we've heard about, and their app is awesome (you get detailed reports of what's going on, with pictures, every single day).

Our oldest child went there too and when she transitioned to kindergarten, she was more than ready. Not only in terms of writing letters, knowing their sounds etc, but also on how their daily routine will be different --how bathrooms and lunchtime will work, for example.

Please don't be fooled by the name. Please ask your kid what happened throughout the day. My son attended this day care for 6 months, he experienced 2 same nature accidents where it could have been avoided if the teacher would have paid attention to him. I explained below to just make you understand that why I mean by saying don't be fooled by the name.
The kid's restroom is open, so basically kids can go in there at anytime and use the restroom (Of course restrooms are gender mixed). My son was using restroom and his private part was touched by another kid and other activities also happened there. Keep in mind that as per as California State law, a teacher should be present at the time kids are using restroom. However, in our case apparently no one was present and that's why all these happened. The other time a girl pulled his private part at the same spot.
They don't teach your kid anything, they after your money.

The staff is ridiculous. You would think that the facility has adults that take there job seriously and professionally, but they don't. The teachers are mediocre....I had a teacher confront me in the parking lot about the stupidest thing. Its suppose to be a well known school in a nice area but obviously these teachers act very ghetto && to specially trained.
