Caught in the rain and then surprise-ambushed by a traveling tour of twenty 8th-12th graders from Maryland, but still grateful we have an HBCU so close to us in Ohio. I only wish our legislators were as appreciative and supported the school more as it seemed severely run down in places. I fear my daughter didn’t get the full experience as many of the doors were locked and inaccessible.

The campus is beautiful. The staff that we saw today was awesome. We were literally, just passing by asked a question of a young man and he took us on a tour. Our visit was during the students during Spring Break and not many students were present but again the ones that we did encounter on campus were very welcoming and excited to talk about their experiences.

I had a poor experience with Central State. Their entire staff is unprofessional and often fails to address issues in a timely manner unless escalated to their higher-ups.
However, even then, the response worsens as they are unhappy with being called out on their behavior. The housing was disgusting with safety hazards (photos included), and punishments for certain people's actions were given as widespread punishments. People who have extensive criminal records live among the students in the dorms as if it's nothing. People were allowed to behave as though they were in high school, which included fighting on campus, bullying on an anonymous app, and pulling fire alarms without repercussions. Overall, the college does not hold itself to a high standard, even academically. Many students would skip classes until the time of the exam and still be allowed to stay in the class or at the university, even on academic probation. There have also been incidents of people being laced on campus. And they did take a chunk of money out of my refund with no clear explanation right before I transferred. Overall, the whole college feels like a big high school with bad babysitters.

Came here for a college tour with our 5th grade students. They really enjoyed themselves. It was good for the kids to see young African American adults being productive and in leadership roles.

I was on a tour and a student named Kevin keep say things to us and we said something bck he got mad he was so unprofessional had is hands in is pants keep being disrespectful and saying Cleveland is the hood he was talk to kids about gangs.
