My wife bought me the a 30min discovery flight package for Fathers Day. I could not be happier or more excited with the experience! I've ridden sportbikes on race tracks, flown in military helicopters around the world, and flown fixed wing aircraft before - but nothing compared to the taste of being on the controls of a Helicopter!!

The only problem is I'm not considering selling my motorcycle in favor of some flight lessons with Matt.

I would agree with another reviewer to avoid using them and Higher Ground out of Miamisburg. Both seem to have no regard for those living in neighborhoods, and fly low over houses. I heard about an elderly woman frightened by one of their low helicopter passes a few months ago coming out of the Warren County (Lebanon, OH) airport. She literally saw the helicopter pass by her window from her first floor living room. In my neighborhood, we have veterans suffering from PTSD. Neither company seems to have any respect at all for anyone on the ground. Choose one that teaches to fly respectfully. We certainly don't need new flyers to think it's safe or wise to fly low over areas where kids live. Vertical Advantage simply shouldn't be training anyone to fly.

Overall, decent school with very safe Enstrom helicopters. Helicopters are maintained very well. Lead instructor/owner is excellent, with 7000 hours. Jr. instructor has only 350 hours, and will not sign you off to solo unless you are absolutely perfect in every aspect of operating the helicopter. If my fixed wing instructor had been so strict, I would never have soloed. I spent $17K (34 hours), and she would not sign me off, so I gave up. I am a fixed wing pilot with 750 safe hours.

My wife bought the two of us a dusk flight around downtown Cincinnati for our fifth wedding anniversary. It was amazing! The people at Vertical Advantage took good care of us, explained everything we needed to know before we took off, and made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the flight. It's a little pricey, but well worth it, seeing how it's the most unique gift I've ever been given. And they even took a picture of us in the helicopter as a souvenir!

Took my fiancée on an hour long tour of the city for her birthday and it was such a great experience! TJ did a great job of pointing landmarks out and keeping our ride comfortable. Could not recommend more!
