New Lexington Care and Rehab has been very impressive on how the dietary department has donated quite a few Team Treats for the Miller Volleyball High School Team over the past 4 years. Also they are very good about letting the National Honor Society students come into the facility and volunteer some hours to help out especially during the holidays it's nice to see teenagers help out.

If your loved one has alzhiemers/dementia do not bring them here. I would consider thier care for the people with alzhiemers/dementia is borderline criminal and very abusive and neglectful. I have my mom there and she could move around good when I put her there, well she fell shortly after being admitted as a patient now she's bed ridden and on hospice and several times they have called to tell me mom fell out of bed. How does this happen? Come to find out bed rails have been available all along. Not to mention a non qualified person scrapping my mom's teeth. Mom can't talk but she managed to tell me they hurt her jaw. I have been turning the other cheek for several months now. I just want decent care for my mom. Not to mention I'm paying $9700.00 cash a month for this terrible care. I don't feel comfortable not warning others.

My Mother was a resident at SKLD New Lexington. To say my Mom was blessed with the most caring and compassionate caregivers is an understatement. My Mom suffered from dementia but it was very evident in her smiles that she knew in her heart that she was loved. From day one til the day she passed she was loved. The most caring and dedicated staff you can ever find. As a child, there is no better feeling than knowing that the trust we placed in them in caring for Mom was the best decision we could have made.

Couldn’t ask for better care and people. My dad was suffering from frontal lobe dimensia and was in the end stages. The staff and management truly gave their best efforts to his care and to all of us as he passed. Would certainly encourage others that are dealing with elderly parents that they can know their loved ones will receive phenomenal care from a staff that loves their work and truly cares for their patients. I’m one of 8 siblings and we are all truly thankful for all of them and for the care our dad received.

I just was dismissed after 20 days at this facility. Very friendly considerate of your privacy. But most is the nurses that helped me understand more of my condition and the IV Antibotic they had me on. They are in my opinion very clean, always checking on patients to make sure all is going good. Thank you all for my stay and seeing first hand the level of care you provide.

Our father was placed here as a patient. All the staff-including management- went way above and beyond what their routine would normally be caring for him while he was there.

And when he passed away the thoughtfulness of the staff continued .

From the food to the flowers and comforting words; our family was overwhelmed by the heart felt love that they shared with us during that difficult time.

Your staff I’m sure deals with this every day but my heart overflowed by the love and respect they showed my mom during the time he was there. Bent over backwards to cook and try to find him something to eat when he was unable to eat. From the ladies that bathed him and to all of those who patted him on the shoulder when I’m sure he was scared and to the ladies who was with him when he took his final breath-Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. Words are not enough to say thank you because at a time like this you are most likely at a loss for words

So I’ll stop and just say Thank you all again for your compassion and thoughtfulness.

The staff at SKLD are professional, knowledgeable, and kind. The residents needs are a priority and concerns from family are addressed promptly. I believe our parent gets excellent care and I'm impressed with the variety of activities provided at SKLD.
