I would never go out of my way to put a bad review on somebody’s business, but this place is in charge of watching and caring for peoples children and parents deserve to know what kind of place they are sending their children too. My son was there for only three months and the long list of issues is insane. Today, the facility ā€œforgotā€ to notify myself and my husband that another child pushed my son so hard, he smacked his face on the ground and got a nose bleed. I was not notified right away, I was not notified at pick up. I was only told what happened because when I put my son in the car to go home, I noticed a good amount of dried up blood on/in his nose. When I messaged in the app where teachers are suppose to communicate with parents, they told me what happened and said they forgot to tell us and we could fill out an incident report the next day. How do you forget to call a parent when a ONE YEAR OLD gets pushed on the ground so hard they get a bloody nose?! The owner should also reread the handbook they give to parents because they are suppose to notify parents right away and fill out an incident report day of. The owner, Erin Cannon, could have cared less about my frustrations and concerns. She makes excuses any time a complaint is brought up about her facility. Nobody would have let us know about the situation had I not brought it up. It makes me wonder how many situations they withhold from parents. This was the final straw of plenty of red flags and complaints about this place. They would send my son home filthy, the teachers are always playing on their phones and watching tiktoks instead of paying attention and watching the kids (I can’t count how many times I walked in on the teachers face deep in their phones), I caught the administrative director scream at her own child in front of an entire class full of children and I said if she screams at her own child like that, how is she treating other peoples kids. (the owner said she did nothing wrong, shocker). It truly feels like you are constantly walking on egg shells at this facility. I wish I would of trusted my gut and pulled my son a long time ago.

I didn’t like having to pack for the whole day; it ended up getting expensive for my lactose-sensitive child. However, there were a couple of really nice women there who took care of my daughter, so that was on the plus side.
Now, I am at a new daycare, and the environment feels much more comfortable for me and my daughter; I felt racism come from one of the women, and I felt out of place walking in with how people look at me. I don’t know if anyone has ever experienced racism, but that’s what it feels like: You feel uncomfortable, like walking on eggshells. My family was the first colored family in the daycare then, and my family definitely could see that.

Erin and her staff are incredible at Junior Explorers. The level of thoughtfulness and care everyone there has for my children is a dream. My husband and I can both work everyday with the peace of mind that not only are our children safe but with people that genuinely care for their well-being and happiness. I also love the art projects my son comes home with and the hourly updates of feedings, diaper changes, etc.

My child was bit by another child not once but twice. When I asked staff about the situation they didn’t know that she had been bit or when it happened or who bit her. I was frustrated with that and when I spoke to the owner she blamed my child for not being able to tell them what happened. My child is speech delayed and 2.5 years old. I find it completely ridiculous to pass the blame onto my child for not being able to communicate. My child no longer goes here.
