We have been with the Ark of Learning for over 4 years. The teachers and staff are some of the most caring people in the world. They love my kids like their own. New leadership has taken over and it has definitely been for the better
Pam the head Pre-K teacher really prepared my son for kindergarten. I am very thankful for this place.

The Ark of Learning is an amazing daycare/preschool!! My son has been attending for 2 years and enjoys going “to school”. The Ark has given him the opportunity to learn and grow, making new friends along the way. They are flexible with my part time schedule and each teacher has been reliable and trustworthy with their care. This is a wonderful place to bring your children with friendly staff and a clean and safe environment! ❤️

I wanted to take time to share my experience here for those looking to find a place to entrust their littles. First and foremost, Ark of Learning accommodated us on very little notice and with a part time schedule with open arms. That is not a small feat and my wife and I were very appreciative of their efforts to fit us in. I would also like to say that some of the kindest people in the city work there who very clearly stay because they love caring for children. The environment is easily identifiable as “overwhelmed” to parents as they are constantly undergoing change. Although this was not necessarily difficult on my daughter because of her age, I’m sure it is and has been a strain on the care providers and those in their care alike.

For example;
Separating a child immediately from their teacher and letting them(teacher) go without any explanation other than a generic email to the parents, while claiming to be “transparent” created an uncomfortable amount of distrust in the safety of the children and/or the hiring process. We were told to ask if we wanted to know more, and did because it directly impacted our child, and were told that internal matters were not discussed and were never given an actual reason.

While the establishment operates as a ministry, it does at times feel evident that there are disconnects with parents, staff, and management. Their prices are fair, but the lack of consistency in staff ratio and quality of care is something I would encourage anyone considering this place to speak with the people who work there, day to day with the children about. Report cards were often not completed, as well as a propensity to send children home made it feel like more was needed than church volunteers on busy days.

It is my hope that those who would read this see the heart behind my intent in these words. For those who might work here, or are a part of the church body it is connected to, please read this as an encouragement to get more involved in the day to day operations and speak up where necessary. This ministry serves as part of the outreach into your community through love and care of its children. We came there because of its connection to the church, and parted ways due to not feeling like our daughter’s best interest was not always in mind. I understand my bias as a parent, but my hope is that these words will encourage improvement in management at the ark of learning and provide deeper insight to any families wanting to entrust their child to a child care facility associated with a long established church in the community.
