My experience with the education and certification through AIHCP has been nothing short of fantastic. Throughout the process, staff at AIHCP has been so helpful and responsive. I have found the educational courses to be comprehensive and they have provided not only good theoretical background but a real focus on interventions to be used with specific client populations. I had researched several certification options, and this program sets itself apart from other certifications by ensuring quality and strong standards. I would highly recommend AIHCP for my professional colleagues.

Grief Counseling

Being a recovering addict and having experienced therapy, I knew that grief played a big part in my drinking and gambling. Although I have worked with individuals in this field for the last 7 years, it was not until I experienced the loss of my mother that I was able to have the “full” experience, sober. My mother had progressive Alzheimer’s and as she was approaching death, we enlisted the help of a local hospice. This encounter was awful—which is not supposed to be the case. My mother was traumatized, as was I, with the lack of response, attention, and care that was to be standard with hospice. My grieving was interrupted with trauma. I felt I was running in circles, trying to help my mother die. Once hospice was out of the picture and my mother was being taken care of appropriately, I was able to return to the “normal” grieving process, or so I thought. It was during this time that I began to investigate a program that would allow me to learn more about grief and loss so I could help myself and eventually help others. I found the courses through AIHCP and immediately signed up. Through the courses I learned so much about the different types of grief, how to identify the grief, how each one impacts us, and how to begin to heal. For me, the content throughout the courses reinforced that grief is a process–there is no right or wrong way to grieve and there is no time limit. The important things to remember is that we are able to identify what is happening, why it is happening, what our role is, and how best to handle the situation for ourselves and our loved ones. I enjoyed the Grief Counseling courses and will be signing up for more in the near future.

As a student at the American Institute of Health Care Professionals (AIHCP), I thoroughly enjoyed my journey through their Stress Management Consulting program. The classes were both challenging and appropriate, striking the perfect balance to ensure I was well-prepared for my future career.

The curriculum was comprehensive and well-structured, providing in-depth knowledge and practical skills essential for a career in stress management. Each class was designed to build upon the previous one, enhancing my understanding and competency in the field.

I felt consistently challenged throughout the program, which kept me engaged and motivated to excel. The rigorous coursework and practical assignments pushed me to develop a deep understanding of stress management techniques and their applications.

Upon completion of the program, I proudly earned my Stress Management Consulting Certification (SMC-C). This certification has not only boosted my confidence but also significantly enhanced my professional credentials. I now feel well-equipped to offer stress management consulting services, thanks to the thorough education I received at AIHCP.

Overall, my experience with AIHCP was incredibly positive. The education I received has prepared me well for my career, and I would highly recommend their programs to anyone interested in health care professional development.

During the Pandemic I was able to take the coursework to become a Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C). I then took the additional coursework to become a Certified Grief Support Group Specialist. All courses are arranged so the students print out the Final Exam, purchase the text book and answer the Final while reading the text. This method of teaching increased my ability to remember the material.

Presently, I am the Administrator for an online Grief Support Group with almost 100 participants from around the world. We also have a Chat Room for those who want to have more personal conversations. Both are open 24/7. We are now forming a LIVE Grief Support Group via Zoom for a small amount of members requesting this service.

I am very pleased with the education I received from the AIHCP. I highly recommend this excellent program to anyone who is seriously interested in a career change or in adding this aspect of care to your current program in social services. The Administrators at AIHCP show a personal interest in the student’s education and are there for any assistance that may be needed. Best of luck!

Dear AIHCP and Future Students,
I wish to thank you. The opportunity you have given me has changed my life. Entering my Grief Counseling Course I knew only one thing. The desire to help a person get through the painful losses which we all experience. The courses nurtured a great understanding of the cultural aspects, the systems and the professional tools to help me understand what death and the natural progression that a person must go through in order to maintain a normal path to resolving grief. It has indeed opened my own eyes to some of the emotions and feelings of my own losses, both tangible and symbolic.
I love the idea of the GateKeeper. I look at myself now as a shepherd who, with great love and care for the flock, will help guide the lost to the normal fields helping to direct them away from the complications that loss can lead to.
I am forever grateful to Mr. Moran and the Instructors. I feel I have learned from giants in the field of understanding. Because of the opportunity you have given me I have been inspired to continue my education. With the help of these courses I was accepted to Mercer University and I am proud to say at the age of 60 am starting my classes this fall semester.
As I move forward I will continue to use the AIHCP as a resource not only for the understanding but the guidance and inspiration.
With Love,

Michael Albert Bischof, AAGC-C Brunswick, GA
