This review is for people interested in using St. Madeleines as a venue/event space:

St. Madeline’s Sophie Center will forever be a special place for me and my husband. We had the best experience working with Nichole as our event coordinator from the venue! The grounds are beautiful! All of my guests loved the venue and were surprised at this hidden gem! The price is amazing! The people are wonderful and all the proceeds go to their non-profit to help adults with disabilities. No tax and no gratuity added! It’s a win-win!! Highly recommend, especially if you want the freedom to make your wedding your own without all the hidden fees and mandatory vendor usage that come with other venues!!

Beware taking your disabled household member to this day program! This non profit is all about money and it shows. I seen a lot of staff come and go during my time as a client/consumer/SE Staff there. They will talk down to the clients. I had one come up to me in tears because of mistreatment. Job coaches and case managers are frequently being changed around without notice. The director of St Madeleine's and their art gallery administrator are emotionally abusive. I felt intimidated all the time during my last month there. Things got so bad that they had me see a psychiatrist. When I got a note of approval to return to work, they denied me my hours! That is illegal! This non profit is supposed to help with developmentally disabled adults. I myself am developmentally disabled because of seizures. Now, the directors of this non profit stabbed me in the back. I felt my disability rights were getting violated. I couldn't go to certain places or events and socialize. I got area board 13 involved because of all this. In the end they let me go. I didn't work anymore since that note of approval. Their excuse was I was too high functioning for their program. If that's the case they should have sent me to Goodwill. They have the power to do that. But no! They put me though emotional havoc, set me up for failure, and left me out in the cold. I feel bad for current clients that attend there for they might be getting emotionally abused too in a discrete manner. I would not recommend this day program to anyone! If I could give this 0 stars I would.

Sincerely,
A very disappointed client/consumer/staff or whatever I was. (I was too confused to know for sure where I fit in.)

It's a beautiful facility, teaching its clients skills to take into the professional world. Consumers work in gardens, participate in swim lessons, and art. Such an amazing place to be

I just DJ'd a wedding here and it's a very neat and rustic setting. They have really unique areas for the ceremony, cocktails, and reception!

I thought I could trust the staff along with the consumers and was very disappointed not getting the personal growth I hope to seek after observing how disconcerting and unprofessional the staff is especially getting into my personal business and instigating a lot of consequences while a bus driver along with a job coach telling a disrespectful lie that is unacceptable and nasty while another bus driver tried to set me up for something unprofessional! Job coach and staff make excuses for anyone being hypocritical and unprofessional with a nasty behavior while have bad guidelines from my experience working over there. Consumers talking about personal stuff. The program should teach consumers how to respond professionally especially if you are going to work in a real job that takes responsibilities very seriously and understand the difference between right and wrong! I myself both have epilepsy and autism and glad I don't make excuses if I do something wrong even though I am more well behaved while not my disability as a excuse!
