As a proud Black DOUBLE Trojan graduate of USC, I would honestly give this department zero stars. In 2016, I was a third year student in the School of Social Work when I was racially discriminated against by two white female students. The two white female students in question were academically weak and were jealous of me and therefore sought to use the institution against me with white girl tears. These white girl tears led to another white female support staff worker to report me to Student Judicial Affairs where Ms. Turner (a white passing model minority)failed to do proper research on this case before she blocked my ability to register for classes, and was moving towards expelling me from the University of Southern California. I had to advocate for myself through appealing to the higher chains of command to get justice. I felt the need to post this because in these times of institutions rolling back DEI other students need to know they need to advocate for themselves. Ms. Turner was ill educated on what Black men experience in a majority institution and the levels of micro-aggressions and implicate bias I experienced were uncalled for. In addition to Student Judicial Affairs being an issue, the EEOTIX Office was of no help either. I am making this public so any student that is going through issues at USC and are unjustly attacked by the systemic racism that exists at USC will act accordingly. GET A LAWYER AND FIGHT ON !!!!

I was very lucky that I had a competent authority that saw through the vindictive and conniving bullying tactics I had been subjected to. While trying to receive aid I rightfully was entitled to due to my family's economic struggles, I was accused of ridiculous claims that had no basis in truth. It didn't matter that I was submitting certified tax returns, bank accounts, sworn statements and the like - because of disability and racial discrimination against my family. I was humiliated and violated, even got threatened that immigration would become involved!

I thank God that the "case" that was brought to SJACS was dismissed outright. The "preponderance" of evidence just didn't exist. I was just the target of a nasty, hateful individual that had an ideal of a worthy financial aid recipient and that unfortunately wasn't me.

They were good and fair to me. I am lucky to have survived the 9 or 11 pending charges that SJACS had against me for quite a difficult case that I did my best with honesty and integrity and have learned from. I had a SJACS case based on a car accident which I was at fault. No one was badly hurt and I am so thankful.

highly questionable ethics, claim to not be punitive but are exactly that over minor 'offenses' if they can even be called that, have deluded themselves into believing they are aiding the students in their graduation process when they do the opposite and teach absolutely nothing.
