I wouldn’t recommend this daycare to anyone. It’s by far the worst place you could leave your child. Don’t be fooled by the friendly smiles at drop-off—they completely change once you're gone. The way they treat the children behind closed doors is unacceptable and deeply concerning.

Do not take your child to this place. The staff showed a complete lack of care and respect. They kept telling my child “we don’t care,” which is unacceptable.

What shocked me the most was their bathroom setup—mixed-gender bathrooms with no proper supervision. When I went to pick up my child, I saw a child in the bathroom with the door wide open, exposed in front of other kids. The staff were standing right there, and not one of them stepped in to close the door or protect the children’s privacy.

This level of negligence is disturbing. Please think twice before sending your child here

Hoover KinderCare is beyond amazing. Honestly, I don't think words can accurately describe how fantastic the center and staff are. My 2yo comes home everyday having learned something new: colors, numbers, letters, shapes, concepts...
Parents get regular updates during the day via the app. The kids get fantastic, nutritional meals and snacks each day.
I am completely convinced that the teachers have magical powers - somehow they manage to create order from the chaos one associates with little people, and they do so with kindness, understanding and love.
My husband and I can go to work knowing that our child is in a safe and nurturing environment, with people who really care about him.

I think I’ve reviewed before but I was inspired to do it again today because I just love our KC family so much. Joycelyn and Margaret run the place with as much love as possible…they just bring this energy of WELCOME from the moment you walk in. Amanda, Ambrosia, Lameda, Terry, Rebecca, Sharon, and all the other teachers each bring something special to the table so if your infant/toddler gets them, be excited. The others are great too but my daughter hasn’t gotten to their classes yet 😛

Okay so WHAT makes them great? My daughter fought naps in Infant A and the teachers (especially Amanda) tried every little adjustment to maximize her sleep. In infant B, I got tons of pictures each week (the app is great btw) and the activities were soooo creative for this age group of 12-18mos where it can be hard to think of interactive lessons—this is largely thanks to Margaret. In infant C, Ms Lameda and Ambrosia lovingly instill a sense of purpose and self-discipline in the kiddos…I’m always shocked when my daughter has picked up things such as covering her mouth when coughing.

I wish I could pay these teachers a million dollars for their hard work. Your baby will be in amazing hands if you go here!!

We absolutely love the staff at KinderCare! They are very kind responsible knowledgeable and very understanding. I'll look at them just like family. My son has flourished since being there in October of 2020 to now. He absolutely loves his teachers and looks forward to circle time and recess! I love how we get random photos throughout the day of what they are doing. It is such a pleasant surprise! Thank you KinderCare for all that you do! We love you guys!

If more stars were an option, KinderCare Hoover would get all of them. We absolutely LOVE this location. Every single teacher is happy to be there and it shows. The director Joycelyn is welcoming, informative, and caring. This entire center goes above and beyond for the kids and their families. Our daughter has learned so much from her incredible teacher, Ms. Sharon and gets daily love from the other teachers as well. It's reassuring knowing our daughter is ready for school each day, excited to see her friends, and comes home to blow our minds with whatever "new" skill she has mastered. Thank you for loving and teaching our girl!

I have nothing but great things to say about the teachers and staff at kindercare. I chose this center after accepting a job in Birmingham. Everyone is super friendly. My girls love their teachers. They really enjoy coming to school. My 2 year old is almost potty trained, her teacher is very encouraging and patient with her. She is also speaking very well now. They do so many fun activities with the kids and keep you updated through the app. They even invite special guests to speak to the kids. I love that they take the time to educate the kids and not just have them playing. They keep them engaged and on a great schedule. I was a parent who was very nervous about daycare. I don’t regret choosing Hoover Kindercare at all.

After spending her first 15 months at home and largely isolated due to sheltering in place per covid restrictions, my daughter started at Kinder Care. Mrs. Kristin, Ms, Jocelyn, and the teachers are great. They seem to genuinely love their jobs, and it shows in how much the kids enjoy being there. My daughter happily goes into her classroom each day which is such a gift to me as a working mama. Plus, lunch being provided is amazing - it takes another thing off my plate and she gets introduced to foods I may not think to make at home. It has been so fun to watch my daughter blossom after a very sheltered first 15 months! Seeing her play with her peers, learning and doing crafts together has been so fun. The app makes staying up to date easy: reminders to replenish supplies, photo updates throughout the day, holiday info, etc. The recently renovated playground area is cute and inviting and has lots of shaded areas too. I also appreciate the safety protocols they follow as it helps keep all of us safe and healthy!
