I came for the national park stamp and it was here even open on Memorial Day! So you need to go to the Campus Safety building first to get a pass. It's left of the campus gate. Then proceed to the gate shack and they'll let you through. You'll park in the spaces by the big statue and walk a hundred yards to the Carver Museum. It's behind the Kellogg Hotel. Nice informative exhibits.

Beautiful campus. The main museum is currently closed but the tour of Booker T Washington's home is still worth it. The ranger leading the tour was fantastic.

I visited the TINHS on my birthday and - WHAT a breathtaking experience! The historical site is *literally* on the historical site, and the original buildings that are still standing are refurbished as living museums complete with guided audio overhead that incorporates sounds you may have heard in each room, as well as testimonials of both employees and pilots at this airbase.
Next door is an active airstrip that trains school-age young adults who are training to be pilots, complete with a scholarship to help these future pilots along. What a wonderful legacy to continue.
The airbase isn't as interactive as I would have liked, because there are a few interactive activities offered and it seems like they *could* incorporate more, but that is a small suggestion. Otherwise, it is a wonderful historical site that is both educational, stimulating and, again, does a great job putting you in that time/place.

I've had the pleasure of escorting multiple middle school tours (10+) to Tuskegee University in Alabama from Fort Benning, Georgia. My AVID college prep students and other MWR family members always won the faculty and staff over on each visit because good manners count. I recommend requesting a campus tour guide online.

The lunches and dinners in Tompkins Hall could use a bit more work. But other than that small issue, it's a great campus! Would love to get more restaurants around the university. But one thing at a time!

It was a very hot day and was glad to have a little air conditioning. Great place to learn the reach that these airmen had. I did not know they were stationed at so many places! Lived the Red Tails P-51!!

Great Campus and very interesting Museum. Would be great if there were tours inside of some iconic buildings like the labs George Washington Carver used to teach his students.
I suggested an edit to the location. The visitor parking is at W Montgomery Rd, next to House Oaks. Park here and then walk to the Museum, entering the gate to the left.

The air museum was awe inspiring. The aircraft, the movie about the Tuskegee Airmen and everything there sent chills up my spine. When I left there, not only did I learn things I didn’t already know, but I was soaring through the clouds with them. Really a GREAT exhibition.
