I went in on a Friday night just to practice a few shots. Lucky for me, the range was fairly empty. After my first 50 or so rounds a great gentleman named G, strolled up and asked why I kept adjusting my grip and as they say, it was all down hill from there. After 30 or so minutes of working with G, my grip and recoil control went through the roof! The before and after photos below are proof how skilled (and patient) the instructors are here.

If you are a beginner this place will make you feel welcomed and like you belong. And if your an up and coming intermediate shooter, Go say hi to my man G to get your skills locked in.

Just finished a real life shooting simulator at C2 Tactical Gun Range in Tempe.
The whole experience exceeded all my expectations. The instructor, Nathan Chism, is a great guy. In just one hour with his help and tips I significantly improved my skills.
Very knowledgeable guy, passionate about his craft and happy to share the wisdom. We were very lucky to have him for that hour, definitely coming back again.

This was such an EXPERIENCE!!! It was my birthday on 2/3 my nephew and I decided to do the gun range experience. Upon arrival we didn’t really know what to do Josh one of the workers informed us of a package for a personal gun lesson with one of the instructors. Our instructor Doug was PHENOMENAL!! The way he explained the gun logistics, proper hand positioning and stance for shooting I went into this exercise with knowledge and confidence. Thank you Josh and Doug for the most incredible experience ever. My nephew and I will most definitely be back to take more lessons with Doug, he definitely helped me be more

I went shooting there with my family, and we all had an amazing time.

Our instructors, Doug and Scott, were absolutely top-notch—professional, friendly, and patient.

They made the experience both fun and safe, ensuring we felt confident and comfortable the entire time.

Everyone at C2 tactical in Tempe was awesome after first visiting to shop for a new pistol and returning for a class. In particular our instructor Nathan was exceptional. The way he related to our lack of experience during the lesson was great and extremely helpful. He even went out of his way to guide us in the selection of a handgun. I highly recommend this place.

This review is not about the facility or staff but the greedy pricing.

I came here early to shoot their Wednesday night competition because I was told to go in an hour before the match to speak to the match director; after signing my wavier, I decided to buy two boxes of 9 which were $29.99 for 115gr magtech to hear the guy next to me telling another customer that "ammo just cost more here because it's for the convenience." I understand that some range charges more for ammo but doubling the price on something that's 24 cents a round because "it's for the convenience" is just pure greed.

After paying for the ammo, I was told that I also needed to pay $25 for a holster qualification, which is also just greedy. Most ranges that require a holster qualification usually have an RO watch that you draw from the holster a couple of times to determine if you are going to be a liability at the facility or not.

The holster qualification took only about 5 minutes, which also left the Instructor wondering why I was even charged for it, as I was competent in what I was doing.

At the end of the day, I understand Range isn't as profitable as it seems and that they need to make sure they can make enough money to keep the lights on and their employees paid, but being greedy isn't exactly the way to go about it.

I will never return to this range, but I really do hope they read this review and consider what type of business they wish to be.

We’re from Canada and were visiting our daughter who’s in her second year at ASU. She’s planning to become a police officer, so we wanted to give her the experience of being at a shooting range for the first time. At first, we were surprised to learn that, as non-U.S. residents, we had to purchase one of the preset packages to shoot—our initial reaction was definitely “WTH?”

But once we met Nathan, the "safety officer" who also works there as assistant manager, everything changed. He welxomed us warmly and stayed with me and my daughter the entire time, shared his knowledge generously, and turned it into an informative, fun, and—most importantly—safe learning experience. Nathan was incredibly approachable while still being clear, professional, and firm when needed.

For people who didn’t grow up around firearms, the idea of going to a range can be intimidating, but Nathan’s calm and confident approach put that at ease. He was very patient, accommodating, and truly made our daughter’s first time at a shooting range a memorable one. Thank you, Nathan—you made a big impression!
