Our 1st grader has been going to Sylvan for less than a month and already his teacher sees a huge improvement. We have been sending our children to Sylvan consistently for the past 5 months and seen measurable results with positive improvements in math, reading, and writing. We selected Sylvan because the curriculum paces itself to benefit the different learning styles of our children. Starting in the summer gave our kids the confidence to practice topics covered in the previous school year and start the new school year with great recollection from summer practice. Our kids connect with the teachers and enjoy learning from them each session.

My son started Sylvan Learning Center in May of 2023. He was struggling in math and his confidence level was not high in the math. However since attending this program my son has A- in math and his confidence level is high. We have tried other tutoring program but Sylvan by far is the best.

My son Scott is now a senior at Northgate HS in Walnut Creek and has been attending Sylvan since 4th grade. His grades have been stellar over the years thanks to the wonderful and supportive administrators and teachers at Sylvan! The administration is very accommodating with busy schedules and the teachers are very supportive and engaging. When Scott first started in 4th grade, his reading level was at 2nd grade. Within a year, with the help of Sylvan, Scott's reading level exceeded 4th grade! Scott loves the tutors and the supportive environment they offer. I reached out to Sylvan when both my kids were struggling with middle school and high school match. Tutors at Sylvan helped my son turn a D grade into an A in a few weeks. Both kids attest to understanding the concepts a lot more with tutelage from Sylvan. It’s definitely been worth it for my family. That being said, each site is different. I can only speak to the Walnut Creek location. Karen is great!

Sylvan has been AMAZING for our daughter. She was falling behind in school, specifically reading and fought us whenever we tried to assist with her homework. Sylvan assessed her and was able to identify what pieces of the puzzle she needed so that we could get her confidence up and back up to her grade level. The staff is professional, caring and the joy that they have when working the kids is so much fun to watch. My kid LOVES coming to Sylvan and learning. A complete 180!
