< Back La Petite Acad... W ... * 1 minute ago This place is what nightmares are made of. I am the loving grandmother of a sweet and busy 2 year old little boy. My daughter enrolled him here to allow him to interact with his peers as he is an only child .She is a single mom with a full time job and also needed reliable childcare. Sadly this place was not the answer. My grandson was singled out, bullied by other students, sent home repeatedly and given write ups that were so ridiculous they are even hard to believe someone would take the time. One of his write ups was because a child pulled HIS hair and he got upset and PULLED HIS OWN HAIR out of frustration. Whenever my daughter tried to speak witty administration about her concerns, the ladies that run that place laughed immaturely at her and were about as well behaved as the 2 year olds. I feel so sorry for my grandson. He is a sweet natured little boy who needed some gentle guidance in a nurturing environment. What he got at such a young age was being labeled difficult and complete refusal from the administration to try and help. They began to join in on the bullying. He would be sent home for days causing my daughter to miss work. The biting he learned was from that school. He had come home numerous times with bite marks on his arms and legs. When he retaliated - instead of being red directed, he was treated like a problem 2 yer old and sent home for not one but 2 days straight. What a sad experience for a baby of his age. The immature ladies that run this place have no clue how to take care of children. I wouldn't allow anyone I care about be in their care. My grandson has been moved to a different childcare center where he can be cared for and loved in a safe nurturing environment . Trust me when I say that this place is deplorable

Staff was overwhelmed with our 2 year old. This is why you exist. To teach and guide little ones. Do your due diligence before enrolling a child who isn't a perfect little angel...I haven't met one yet. Management is weak and hyper critical. It's too bad because he is an amazing little man and he doesn't deserve to made fun of and to feel uncomfortable. Shameful behavior forced us to make a transition. Again, proceed with caution.

We've been at La Petite Tanque Verde for over a year and feel like we've built an extended family. We're overjoyed at the care, attention and value we've received.

We've experienced several teachers throughout our time and feel like there's a common thread of attention, empathy and passion for learning.

Ms. Christie and Ms. Sabrina at the front are extremely friendly and clearly care for each child that steps foot through the door. Ms. Gloria has had an incredible impact on our older child and has taught him how to express himself in the right way. She's had the perfect balance of patience and she appropriate tough love that we're extremely grateful for!

Disappointed is a huge understatement. My 2 year old son had been attending la petite since he was just 6 months old. I have never had any issues,
In fact the teachers are absolutely fantastic and i wish we weren’t forced to have to withdrawal however My child has newly learned a behavior of biting to which he acquired this behavior from daycare. After multiple incidents of being sent home for biting i was finally asked to sit down with the behavioral team that they implement within the academy to discuss a plan for my child’s care. When biting were to have occurred my son was to be redirected, separated from other children and talked too. This is the plan la petite, myself and the behavioral team agreed upon. Instead i dropped my child off just two days ago and was to be called after one whole hour of my child being at daycare to be told i need to come pick him up and he were to be suspended for two whole days due to biting a child. Absolutely absurd and especially for a single mom who has to work and pay bills. I was paying for them to do their job and instead their way of handling a two year biting was to constantly send him home. For a facility who promotes positive support for negative behavior… I’m just not sure what sending a child home does, or what it actually teaches them especially because i can promise you my child forgot about biting 2 mins after it happened. Not only that but the behavior was learned in the environment at la petite. Not to mention he was sent home multiple times with bite marks and bruises from other children and incident reports were never made regarding those on my son. This place is a joke and the afternoon administration need a lot of training. The afternoon admin runs the place like a bunch of girls who never left high school. Christie was fantastic and on top of issues, however Sabrina was exceptionally rude every time i brought up my concerns of my child. One day i came in and had 13 incident reports to sign for my child… two incident reports stated my son was biting because his hair was being pulled and another stated another child wouldn’t let him sit so he bit.when bringing up the obvious fact that my child was being provoked, Sabrina rudely shut Me down and said that they do not single children out. But actually yes they do. Additionally, when disenrolling my son and speaking with the admin on the phone, i could hear giggling in the background when expressing my concerns. It was clear i was on speaker and my concerns were not to be taken seriously. Do not enroll your child. Save yourself the headache and find a better daycare like we did unless you want to constantly have to make arrangements for childcare because they send your kid home constantly for a learned behavior from their very own facility.

My daughter attended La Petite for a short time while we got adjusted to Tucson after a big move. Everyone at the school was welcoming and her teachers were incredibly kind. I felt like my daughter was well taken care of and safe every day that she was at school. Nothing more a mom could ask for!

My son started going to this La Petite when he was a little over 1. We loved all the staff at this location. Every staff member that we would pass on our way to his class would great him by name. Though we moved Shortly after my son turned 3, we miss our teachers dearly. We will always be grateful to Ms. Christie, the director for helping keep our child in a nurturing, and safe learning environment.

Amazing and excellent school and childcare! I love their curriculum and activities that our granddaughter experiences there everyday. Most importantly she has wonderful caring directors and teachers and staff who welcomed her so warmly every day. They show her that they are happy to see her and ask her how she is doing and wish her a great day when she leaves. They are very mindful of her needs and communicate with us about anything she may need or experiencing. She looks forward to going to her school everyday! She has grown so much over the past few months in all of her skills and is meeting all her goals developmentally and excelling in many due to their care and educational programs. It is so awesome to have these wonderful individuals as part of our "Community Family"! Even in these trying times of Covid-19, they have gone the extra, extra mile to make sure we feel at home there while adhering to safety and health standards.
