Rather than give my feedback, I asked my two sons, who attended the program, questions about their first-hand experience. The following is some of what they had to say.
1. When asked about their first impression, they thought it was just a few guys hanging out.
2. Were you surprised? Yes, there were varied ages, and they had loads of fun.
3 What did you like about it? – The planned activities included having meals together and discussing different and important things.
4. Are you glad you participated? – Yes.
5. Was it organized, and did you benefit from participating? – Yes, it is very organized, with different themes every week. They were glad they got involved and appreciated having a safe place to have fun, meet new people, and learn new things.
6. Would you recommend it? - Yes
7. Do you think the program is worthy of your support? Yes, Very. They are both happy they attended; Jarvis and his staff were great; it was well worth the time and energy.
Well, there you have it. The best feedback came from those who benefitted the most. In closing, I will say that I am thankful for my wife, who discovered this gem in the community and the positive and consistent service it provides under its impactful leadership. There should be more opportunities to shed light on these silent giants that operate among and for us. Thank you for shining the light of hope for those the media mentions only through the dark lens of bias for its ratings. Thank you, Jarvis and your entire staff, for your contribution.
