My son has really enjoyed attending the online sessions for the 11 plus Accelerator programme. Each week there is a different topic that all the children learn. During the lessons everyone gets the opportunity to talk and ask questions. Helen provides informative and enjoyable lessons. Helen has been a fantastic tutor for my son and has provided him with the confidence and motivation to put in the hard work.

I cannot recommend Helen highly enough for her exceptional guidance in preparing Cornelia for the 11+ exam. Initially, Cornelia faced some challenges as she encountered material that wasn’t covered in her school curriculum, pushing her outside of her comfort zone for the first time. However, Helen’s supportive and structured approach helped Cornelia navigate these ups and downs.

He grew in confidence over the weeks, and despite having no previous experience of Zoom, was soon a happy and active learner in a small class of children supported to increase their skills! Francis loved the little rewards from Helen, especially earning his stickers, and is now a self-confessed algebra expert. The tutoring sessions were really varied, and the homework set was very clear, making it easy for busy Mum and Dad to support between classes. We have used A STAR Tuition Group service for the last two years and hope to continue. Our son had a speech delay and wasn't able to use phonics to read. He struggled to read basic words. The staff of “A Star Tuition Group” are very friendly and accommodating. There are aspects of the test that’s not been taught in school. With Helen’s help and guidance, Jett managed to understand these topics more. With the mock tests, apart from being able to taste the “real” test in a hall, we managed to see the topics that he needs to improve and concentrate more..He learned how to managed the test under time pressure. The exam tips that Helen gave to the children will be treasured by Jett for a lifetime. If you are really determined for your child to get a place into a grammar school, I would highly recommend “A Star Tuition Group”.
