I feel fortunate to have found Above Grade Tutoring. Karen and Zach have made a big difference in my daughter's high school academic performance. Karen is such a pleasure to work with. She was genuinely interested in helping my daughter and she put in the time and effort to develop a customized plan for her for AP Calculus and SAP prep. Zach was my daughter’s AP Calculus tutor and he was amazing. Thanks to Zach’s excellent teaching style and patient approach, my daughter was able to successfully get through AP Calculus. I would happily recommend AGT, Karen and Zach to all parents who are looking for academic support for their high school kids.

I cannot recommend AGT tutoring enough! Karen has been very helpful placing my son on the correct tutoring path with Zach. My son was struggling to grasp the concepts of Geometry and Zach was able to clearly teach my son in a way that brought clarity to the subject. My son not only holds an A in the class, he has the important foundational skills upon which to build in high school. Zach is a wonderful tutor and also very easy to schedule/reschedule with the busy calendar we have. This was the best decision for our son and we plan to continue with Zach through high school as my son plans for honors and AP classes.

Karen was absolutely amazing with getting us set up for our daughter to receive the perfect tutor. Brian, our daughters tutor, provides exceptional support and guidance in teaching her everything she needs to know to be successful in her high school honors math course. He goes above and beyond to ensure her confidence in learning and how to navigate difficult problems using concepts taught in class and applying them to a variety of challenging test problems. He is friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and a great teacher. Above Grade Tutoring goes beyond the call of just helping students prepare for the SAT. Karen has the ability to pair the student with the best tutors that will bring out the hard work needed to prepare the student for the exam. Karen really cares about the students and ensures that the teacher-student relationship matches in order to get the best outcome for the student.

The tutors are exceptional in their area of expertise and have the patience and the drive to help the student understand the material to achieve success on the exam. My son was taking lessons during the summer so the tutors had their work cut out for them.

Brian was motivating and caring towards my son. My son was continually motivated for each session with Brian because of his math skills and knowing exactly what my son needed to stay engaged and learning a tremendous amount of material to take the exam. I cannot put into words how grateful we are to Brian for his dedication, knowledge and care he showed my son during the sessions.

Tara was also very helpful in assisting my son on the skills needed to take the exam to achieve a better score. My son looked forward to every session with Tara as well with enthusiasm and applied himself because of the patience and skill exhibited from Tara. It was great to see my son comfortable with practicing and thrive under Tara’s tutoring.
