Akraya is an agency that goes out and finds eligible candidates for the companies that are actually hiring you. You can absolutely use them and they will represent you through the hiring process in the hopes that they get a commission or some payout for doing so. However, many times you can find the actual job through the company's website and just apply with your resume there. Sometimes an agency is better as they may be hiring for jobs that are not listed on a company's website. Very often these agencies outsource to foreign countries, so your so-called "talent recruiter" from Akraya can be a guy in India or Mexico that doesn't speak English very well, and doesn't even particularly understand the role that you're being hired for. For example, my recruiter barely spoke english and was quite rude to me over the phone. I will not be using Akraya again for any job services.

Scam. Anyone who opens up like this or contacts you in this manor isn't going to do good business they're a scam do not give them your personal information. Assume they fished your information off Indeed or a contract companies list of employer’s where you have previously done business with.

I've held a contract position with a tech company for 6 months now thanks to Akraya. The interview process went very smoothly, and my recruiter was very knowledgeable of the position and how to prepare for each round of interviews.

I have not had as regular of contact with staff since the corona pandemic started, understandable, which did cause an issue to take longer to resolve. However, my overall experience has been positive.
