I had a crazy idea at age 84 to do something different with my life. Lo and behold there was Alan Feinstein`s acting classes conveniently located. After being interviewed by Alan I signed up 8 months ago and absolutely loving it. I look forward to each Saturday class and have improved so much based on Alan`s tough but fair coaching and comments from my fellow students whose average ages range from early 20s to mid 40s. I am planning on doing commercials and have had headshots taken and signed up with an agent. My fellow students have helped Alan to guide and mentor me for which I am eternally grateful. Alan’s class (both online and in-person) has transformed my acting. I really can’t speak highly enough of Alan. Endlessly patient and compassionate, Alan offers feedback unique to you based on your performances in class, and it’s through this feedback that I’ve been able to get out of my head and get in the moment.

My issue was always over-analyzing scripts to a point of intellectual paralysis where my head would tell me what I had to do, but my body and my feelings would not connect. Now, through Alan’s subtle direction and guidance, I’m better able to trust my emotions and follow my impulses, even if my intellect wants to tell me it’s not “right”. More than any other class, Alan’s has helped me tap into stronger emotions/emotional choices than I thought possible for me.
