Alaska Driving Academy was recommended to me by a friend. I took his advice and applied. On my first day of school I was worried about not fitting in and doubts filled my mind. I’m not much of a people person, but my instructors and staffing were very welcoming and supportive, along with my fellow classmates who later became family. They gave me a new perspective. Attending this school gives you a whole new insight on trucking. They will teach you how to shift gears and downshift properly. They’ll breaks things down little by little to make it more easier to understand and it just gets better! My advice to those who are only dreaming of becoming a trucker. MAKE THOSE DREAMS BECOME YOUR REALITY AND START AT ALASKA DRIVING ACADEMY. P.S Pour out your cup and let them fill it up with knowledges. I would recommend this school 100% Best decision I’ve ever make and I don’t regret it at all. #GAMECHANGER ON DA TOP

Great school and instructors. Including all staff. Make sure you put as much focus and determination into the school, classes, and work as you can. The first week and a half was tough but stick it out and persevere through it. It is definitely worth it and I have learned a lot throughout this program. You’ll definitely create friendships with the classmates and instructors.

I attended Alaska Driving Academy not having no knowledge whatsoever or idea about what truck driving is. I doubted myself and also thought that I would probably fail it. But my instructor Dr. Donny made the class very enjoyable and worthwhile. He definitely gave out really clear instructions and explanations on everything. I’ve learned a lot from this academy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADA for people who want to get their CDL.

For the last 4 years I’ve had a goal in getting my CDL License and now thanks to the Alaska Driving Academy and all my efforts I put in to it, I was able to achieve this goal. I was very nervous about coming to the academy but when I finally arrived, I was greeted by my class mates who are now like family and then when we all arrived to the school, we were all welcomed by very great instructors. Before I arrived at (ADA) I was uneducated about trucks. I got to learn every single part of the truck from outside to inside. I learned about shifting, daily logging, Pretrip and more. Getting into the truck for the first time I was nervous but my instructor put my mind at ease and taught me everything I needed to know and now I can confidently say I’m very comfortable driving manual trucks.Attending Alaska Driving Academy was a fantastic experience! The instructors are top-notch, offering clear and detailed guidance throughout the course. They really know how to break down complex driving techniques into easy-to-understand steps. Overall, the supportive environment and thorough training at Alaska Driving Academy made all the difference. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get their CDL and start a career in commercial driving!
To ALASKA DRIVING ACADEMY THANK YOU!

As I stepped into my ADA class on the first day, my mind was filled with doubts and worries. "What if I'm not good enough? What if I fail?" But as I met my coach, instructors, and fellow students, my fears started to fade away. The supportive atmosphere and clear instructions helped me feel more at ease. With each passing minute, my confidence grew, and I started to believe in myself. I realized I was capable of learning and achieving my goals. The excitement of learning to drive in Alaska's unique conditions took over, and I eagerly accepted the challenge.

Attending to the Alaska Driving Academy (ADA) was an amazing experience that helped me become the person I am today. They taught me how to be safe, responsible, and patient on the road, but also in life. The instructors were knowledgeable and supportive, which helped me gain confidence and self-assurance. I was surprised by how much I learned - ADA is the best school, it teaches you everything you need to know and more! I thought trucker school would just be about driving, but ADA went above and beyond, covering so much more than I expected. The skills I learned there have helped me in many areas of my life, allowing me to tackle challenges with a clear head and determination. I'm grateful for the role the Alaska Driving Academy played in my growth and development.

First of all, I want to give all the glory and honor to our Heavenly Father for his guidance, protection, love and his never ending blessings upon me and my little family.
Second, I want to thank him for bringing together the class of 24-09 to ADA!
LETS GO!!!

Before attending Alaska Driving Academy, I was worried for many reasons.
One, I was worried about being a student again after many years. Two, I was worried about driving a tractor trailer on highways. And lastly, I was more worried because I never had shifted a manual transmission before and I knew nothing about these big trucks or any regulations regarding them.

My biggest concern was shifting, I asked myself “Will I be good enough to pass the road test or be able to drive manual?”
Then, there came Coach Chris and he said to us in class that, “Whatever we think we know, whatever we think we’re good at, let it out by EMPTYING YOUR CUP!” His words of encouragement reassured me about my concerns, but there was still a little part of me that was worried because I haven’t been in the trucks yet.
First week of school, Coach Chris handed out study packets explaining everything I need to know about shifting, backing, pre-trip inspections and tons of information about what Alaska Driving Academy will help me through.
The week goes by then came the day and time to experience hands on in the truck. Driving, shifting for the very first time, OH MY GOOD BOY, it was easier than I thought; all because of the help from COACH CHRIS, RAIGOSA, the DUKE BOYYYYSSS and the rest of the ADA STAFF!

I am grateful for Coach Chris and his staff who goes above and beyond to help each student with their struggles. Thank you for your patience and for always reminding us that if we put effort in, we get better and better every day!

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

This school has been everything I had hoped for when looking into getting my Class A CDL. Had a few other options around the state but very happy I chose Alaska Driving Academy. Very professional, thorough, and interactive instruction both in the classroom and in the trucks. Special thanks to Donny and Brian for making it a very enjoyable 20 days.

On my first day at ADA I thought there was no way I would be driving a tractor trailer as well as I am today. I was worried about shifting, as I've never driven a manual vehicle, but the instructors have made it such an enjoyable experience. I have met some of the most passionate people that I am lucky to call my peers and instructors. I will recommend this CDL driving school again and again to anyone looking to get the best start in their trucking career!
