About 5-6 years ago I was contacted by Amy about a position at boutique property management company. I was very excited to work with her until the day of the interview. I was rushing down the 10 freeway to get there in time and there were road closures all along Wilshire so I was re-directed down several random streets. I arrived at the company I was interviewing for and someone was at the door waiting for me to tell me to leave. It was mortifying. Then I got a call from Amy berating, screaming, and yelling at me for not being on time. I hung up and burst into tears. Then she called again and again and finally I had to block her. Luckily I ended up at a wonderful company and it all worked out but as an employment agency who is going to make a commission based on my/your employment, I expected her to have my back and explain the situation to the employer. I was young and naive and took her insanity personally. A little reflection and time has instead taught me to just feel sorry for such an angry person. That emotion is called empathy and something Amy will never have.

Amy is a complete and utter nightmare to communicate with. If I could give zero stars I certainly would. DO everything in your power to make sure Amy does not get your phone number, regardless of if you asked to be taken off her call list she continues to call and berate you. Let her 1.9 star google reviews speak for themselves and STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Amy has been recruiting in Southern California for about 39 years and it shows. She will do everything in her power to keep you updated and get you working. She is very communicative and even sends a hand written letter for working with her. I highly recommend her services if you're looking to be employed quickly.

Amy is incredibly terse, rude, and unprofessional.
They prospected me for a role, and while I was answering questions (which could have been answered by my resume if they had cared to look it over and if they were sensitive to the nuance of my industry) I was interrupted and shot down pretty quickly with full condescension featuring hints of derision. They also asked for my address which made me uncomfortable but I figured it might have been to check how local I was to the role. Wrong - they sent me some “thank you” note with refrigerator magnets to share with “my network who could be looking for different roles.”

I think the worst thing I saw them do was publicly doxx a client of theirs on their linkedin for some alleged unpaid bills. That was pretty shocking honestly, and it’s shocking they continue to get work.

I would strongly recommend against working with this person from both ends, and if you’re looking for work you can sleep at night when you refuse their calls because you can be sure their clients are likely just as bad as they are (all below market comp anyways) and you dodged a missile.

Same experience here. She has no personality and totally unprofessional. She was trying to convince me on giving her my personal address so she can send out marketing materials. When I refused she slammed the phone. She is a joke and not a recruiter. As other stated as well, rude, pushy and annoying.

Amy Zimmerman is rude and beyond unprofessional. She pushed me to give notice to my employer at the time and embellished a job opportunity so that I'd quit. I regret having listened to her. She rushed through the process and didn't allow me any time off in between jobs, stated my new employer needed me to start on a specific date. That was a lie. I regret having picked up her call.

I had sent my resume to Amy a few years back as I was looking for new employment. I did not feel the candidate I was interviewing with was the right fit right away so I denied the interview. Amy kept pushing and saying things like "if you were my daughter I would tell you to go" which was strange after I had politely declined. Progress a few years forward and she is reaching out again after I had politely declined saying I am happy with my employment. She in turn calls my current place of employment and speaks to my BOSS which was severely unprofessional. She then calls several people in my office. I had already responded by asking her company not to call me anymore and I believe it was Craig? Who said they will no longer call. Today I receive a call and pushy text message politely declining that I am happy with my employment and to remove me from her list. To which she replies that she legally can't do that and to "have a nice life. Don't be so harsh." I told her that what she is doing is harassment for calling my employer and all of my coworkers soliciting unwanted jobs and as it is my personal information, she should honor my request. She in turn replied that "I need help. Serious help." and sent me a group of messages thereafter of how I "should have replied." She's a horrible and unprofessional woman and I have no idea why anyone would work with her.

Amy is an ally you want on your side. She will go out of her way to get you into a position to be heard.

My experience with Amy has been nothing less than professional. She is in the business of getting people hired.
