Very interesting & well maintained local historical museum. They organized the huge photo albums by early settler family. They even one time had their own Boontling alphabet & language. Definitely worth to stop by. We had a very knowledgeable & friendly docent who leads us.

A very well organized museum with lots of local artifacts. There is 3 different buildings to walk through and the staff does a great job of explaining the history. It was really fun to learn about “boontling ” the unique language that was locals in the 1930s spoke. Today only a handful of people speak it. I also learned a lot about the farming and logging in the area.

A well kept treasure trove of local history. Learn about Boontling, life of the past and the families that once and still do call Anderson Valley home.

A very quaint museum, it is a lot larger than it first appears. The docent we has was a sixth generation Anderson valley resident. Like a lot of similar operations they are having trouble getting volunteers especially on the weekends.
