Animal Samaritans has been very good for me and my puppies in the past. It is possible to get a same-day appointment at their Urgent Care, and the Veterinarians are always excellent.

However, their pricing on medications is completely unethical. I was prescribed an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever for my Staffie. 10 pills at 100mg dosage. Online with Chewy.com this prescription would cost me $6.40. Animal Samaritans charged me $51.00!!! That is an 800% increase!! I understand they are also an SPCA and need funds, and they are expanding their facility with a multi-million dollar renovation, but to overcharge and gouge their clients by this kind of pricing is usury, and completely horrific. I would understand even 15-20% overcharge, but 800%?!!! REALLY?!!!!

I can't say I'm one to believe in miracles much but coming to Animal Samaritans i experienced just that. I brought my 7 year old dog because he was expieriencing severe bowl issues and was clearly in extreme pain.
Upon our first visit, the very kind staff told us after tests that our pup had a very big perineal hernia that wasnt allowing stool to pass through. The very sympathetic and kind Dr.Klomhaus said he would need surgery and very very soon. I was left with very little options as I have limited funds. The doctor encouraged me to seek multiple options to help fund this surgery. But i knew i wanted to try anything possible for my little one and I took to heart every option they offered. i started a go fund me, asked family and even the SPCA was immense help by having me apply for their financial aid. With the amount of funds i raised on gofundme and the huge help the financial aid program offered me, my pup was able to get his surgery a week after the initial visit. The doctor Klomhaus and staff (Sarah, Brendan, Amanda, Josue, Ana and I'm sorry if I forgot anyone else's names) really made me feel seen, heard and never made me feel less because of my lack of finances. The team made a miracle happen and consistently fought as hard as I did to try and get my dog this surgery. I hadnt felt such happiness and gratitude with the news, care , help and concern i recieved from Animal samaritans ever in any establishement! The surgeon doctor came from his busy schedule and the staff stayed after hours to do this surgery. It felt like a dream because im not one to receive such kindness and care like I did there. Now my baby is home with me doing well with his recovery! I am beyond blessed with this truly holiday Miracle! Thank you so much Animal Samaritans from the bottom of my heart and Otto's. You are doing amazing work and saving our most beloved and undeserved loved ones.

It’s not a low cost clinic. It’s very misleading to be a “low cost” but you have specialist working out of there, that really makes zero sense bc those are not low cost services. Get back to what you guys were doing years ago and offering low cost vet care to the community.

I have a great appreciation for this institution. They have helped me and to my lovely little Chihuahua a few times.

Great amazing Vets and team! It is a little bit of a wait and time to see a vet but once you're in the service is great and pricing is not exorbitant.

This was a wonderful experience with my sweet kitty cat and for myself. Professional, caring and friendly staff. There were no attitudes here. The greeter in parking lot, Scott made us feel comfortable while we waiting for them to open. He assured us the surgical team is wonderful. We had Dr Robert Mills take care of our kitten in surgery. Very pleased at discharge time kitten was alert and moving. We checked out with further instructions and medicines. I was impressed with this new, clean facility and cost. This will be our place to take our fur baby in future. Easy drive up Bob Hope to Petland Campus. Thank you everyone 💕

The team here is very professional and compassionate. Based on the lab results, I received the devastating news that my beloved Wilbur has approximately 2 years left on this planet. The results were thoroughly explained to me by a very nice Oncology Doctor. His calm and caring demeanor helped soften the sadness. It wasn't Dr Macy or Dr Baldanza although based on what I have experienced there, I am sure they are equally as wonderful. I put my complete faith and trust in the entire team there. I've been taking my pets there for years and will continue to do so.
