What an amazing learning center. This is so far beyond your run of the mill "tutoring" center. Yes, they will work on homework, but they offer so much more in terms of learning, engagement and creativity. My son has been to two other franchised learning centers over the years and this is the only one where is he actually learning and interested and never complains about going. Ms. Armenta and Mr. Smith truly make learning interesting and fun for him. Such a special place!

Mrs. Armenta is very competent, supportive, professional, kind, respectful and cares about her students and staff. Her commitment to her students is truly remarkable.
The classes are small allowing students to easier understand the subject. All the teachers are friendly and are wonderful to work with. When coming to the academy, I feel like I'm going to my second home. They have a nice environment and I really enjoy coming here.

Being an educator at Armenta Learning Academy has been such a blessing. I met Mrs. Armenta through Armenta Pet Academy. As we were getting to know each other we instantly connected, and we had the same mission to help children and animals. I love what Mrs. Armenta does at both Armenta Learning Academy and Armenta Pet Academy. Not only is Mrs. Armenta a great boss, but she is also a wonderful educator and role model. Everyone at ALA is so welcoming and supportive of each other and I truly enjoy going to work every day! I love being able to teach a variety of subjects and work with all the different students that come to ALA, both during ALA’s morning school and after school tutoring programs. I specialize in ABA, Neurofeedback Therapy, American Sign Language, and working with elementary and special needs students. My BA is in Deaf studies and community service, with a concentration on literacy and I love being able to incorporate my knowledge in those areas here at ALA. I enjoy being creative with my teaching and I love facilitating crafts and activities for the students. I also have the pleasure of overseeing the Armenta Learning Academy Store, which has been such a great way to reward, reinforce, and encourage students to work hard. I am so thrilled to be an educator in such a wonderful learning environment, one that I wish I had access to growing up. I delight in seeing the students having fun and enjoying school! I readily recommend Armenta Learning Academy to families and give it 10 Stars!

I recently joined the staff at ALA. The teachers here will go above and beyond to see our students succeed. I love to see Armenta’s individualized and responsive approach to learning. The path we each take to the finish line may vary, but the journey is the priority, not just reaching the finish line. I have spent most of my years teaching young learners, so I believe instilling a joy of learning is critical for future successes. It is great to see students arriving and leaving ALA each day with big smiles. I love their specialized approach to teach the whole child since we all learn and excel in different ways. I like to make learning fun for students, not just a rote process, and that is just what ALA does. As a reading specialist and a 25+year elementary teacher with a masters in reading education, I can definitely say this is a great place to learn.

Mrs. Armenta just gets it! She knows what to do with my child. I have gone to so many places, spent so much money, and nothing has helped! But this program, and Mrs. Armenta has helped immensely and we are so excited to finally find a place that is safe, nurturing and effective. Mrs Armenta is an expert with these kids and definitely knows what shes doing. We are thrilled with the success in such a short time! We have heard such great things, but this is greater than imagined. We are so excited to share with other families that need a program like this. Armenta Learning Academy is such a hidden gem of a school! It is so great for students that might not thrive in traditional school environments where the needs of the whole child are not always met. Teachers at Armenta care so deeply about the success of their students and differentiate instruction so that students are receiving personal and individualized attention for their learning needs. I have loved being a teacher at Armenta— the staff is gracious, organized, and detail-oriented which helps students have a great learning experience that is properly prepared for in advance. Truly, one of the best parts of working at Armenta is seeing how teachers care deeply for the whole child and are attentive to their needs that extend beyond just their academic goals. This summer, I have been leading Armenta’s science program and working with several other students on their writing and reading skills. If you are thinking about working at Armenta Learning Academy or sending your child here, it is worth it! Mrs. Armenta cares so deeply about her students’ success in all aspects of their life, and works hard to create a comfortable and safe environment at the learning academy that students always love coming back to!

My daughter Charlotte started coming to the Armenta Learning Academy over the summer to help with her speech and language development. Julie and her staff have truly been amazing! She has made so much progress with her teacher Ms. De Silva and enjoys coming here to learn. Although our focus was on speech development, her teacher Ms. De Silva has also been working with her on her writing skills and fine motor development. I’m so grateful that we found out about the Armenta Learning Academy. It’s truly made a difference in my daughter’s learning and development.

I'm grateful to have found Armenta Learning Academy. Unlike large establishments, they were able to customize a learning plan unique to my son. They can easily change things up if something is not working. They have lots of different options to keep learning fun! Both Ms. Armenta and Ms. Harms are very dedicated, kind and great at what they do. They know well how to make the kids feel seen, heard and loved.
