Kelsi and her equine colleagues are incredible leadership coaches, and I could not give a higher recommendation! Kelsi saw leadership qualities in me that were so hidden by my lack of confidence, I couldn't see them in myself. Her sessions are so free-flowing, she has created a structure around which I could discover my own unique leadership style and abilities (rather than some "ideal" leadership personality). And that's just Kelsi! I had a fair amount of horse experience going into these sessions, but I was blown away by the intuitive nature of these horses, to call forth honesty, integrity, confidence, clarity, respect, authenticity, trust, and joy. Kelsi knows each horse individually and utilizes their strengths and personalities to develop each unique leadership quality. I love that she even provides feedback from selected close friends/colleagues to show areas of improvement. This program is challenging but worth every moment!

I highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking to further there leadership skills and want a challenge.

After going through the 6 week training it helped me challenge myself to be a better leader and more confident in how I help lead my teams and connect with my own horse. Through Kelsi’s leadership she pushed me to think and observe in ways I would not have thought to before hand and in return I came away with a deeper respect and understanding in what a leader should be.

I had the pleasure of participating in Arrowheads 6-week Leadership Program. Kelsi Halvarson and her equine team show and demonstrate healthy and effective leadership that is applicable in both a professional and personal setting.

When starting Arrowheads Leadership program, I had no idea the incredible gains I would experience which began from my very first session.

Verro was my first equine instructor who taught me that to lead affectively you MUST have connection. I, arrogantly, assumed that Verro would follow my leadership after all I was the human - therefore in charge and could command this magnificent horse.
I have been around horses throughout my adult life and have three of my own. I thought this won’t be a big deal, I know how to halter and lead a horse. I know beyond the basics of working with horses so we will connect without issue. However, Verro did not believe I was someone worth following. If I’m 100% honest I was surprised and offended. How could Verro not like me? When I felt I was approaching him with compassion and knowledge. At that moment, Kelsi while spectating posed a question that changed my perspective and frame of mind. "Do you think Verro respects and trusts you enough to follow your lead?" It was obvious he did not. And thus, my answer had to come from a place of humility and introspection regarding my personal leadership skills and I needed to soften in certain areas, and gain confidence in order to soften my approach. And thus my growth began.

Through Kelsi’s observation, instruction, and insight helped me to see some blaring short comings in my skills and ability to lead not only in a professional manner but one that has carried over into my personal life. These techniques I've learned have greatly improved my confidence, communication and realizing that confrontation can be met with grace more often that not.

Through this program, I have realized that in both types of relationships, there are always areas of refinement and growth needed if our desire is to lead our teams or families well. Finding a connection with Verro took laying down my own agenda so that I could confidently convey to him that I had a clear plan. This plan was built on humility and integrity that he could trust me to respect him and protect him if needed. Working with the team at Arrowhead, has been like looking in a mirror. I am not only recognizing the flaws and imperfections in myself but understanding how I need to redirect in order to become the truly successful leader I know now I am capable of in and out of the workplace.

I would highly recommend Arrowhead’s Leadership Program for anyone striving to improve their leadership abilities and relationships whether professional or personal. Their process became catered to not only my needs but what Verro needed from me in order for us both to proceed. To have a program so tailored, and to affect so many different areas of my life speaks to the technique, patience and expertise that is offered.
