I absolutely love this place! Claudia is an amazing speech therapist. My 2-year-old son was very shy and hardly made any sounds or said any words. By the end of our session with Claudia, he was engaged, aware, and even started saying words and making all kinds of noises. His shyness disappeared, and he was so happy. We also had feeding therapy with Andrea, who was incredibly patient and kind with my son.

At Auburn TLC, they not only work with your child but also teach parents how to support their little ones at home. I am so grateful for everything they’ve done for us!

My daughter started Auburn TLC a month after turning two. At the age of two she spoke maybe 10 words total, and she didn’t say them very often at all. She was frustrated constantly because she couldn’t communicate what she wanted or needed. When we first started we saw Ashley (she moved about a year in). My daughter was very uncomfortable with people, but with Ashley she warmed right up and went back with her all by herself. Ashley started by teaching her sign language which she picked up in a month or less. She finally was able to communicate her needs. Her entire personality changed for the better because of this.
After Ashley moved Heather picked up which was right after Christmas break. My daughter really started talking right before Thanksgiving. When she got with Heather her speech took off and she never stopped!! She learned so many things so quickly.
Then a new therapist started Andrea, and my daughter was moved to her. She absolutely loved Andrea she begged all the time to go to therapy so she could see Mrs. Andrea which made me happy that three separate people could make my child so comfortable. Andrea did the pleasure of getting my daughter to hit the milestones she needed to graduate! She did a wonderful job and got her there very quickly.
I will never be able to express how much Auburn TLC helped my child. We love each and every therapist equally!! They have a wonderful environment and all have such amazing personalities. So easy to work with especially as a first time parent who is learning all these things with their child.
AND we can’t forget our Kirby!! Kirby is absolutely amazing!! She’s so sweet and caring along with down to earth and funny. We miss you guys everyday, but we are grateful that yall were able to get our girl talking and communicating.

THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY MEMBER OF AUBURN TLC!!

If your child needs any help with hitting milestones this is the place to go. Talk to your pediatrician and get that referral!!

I never received the phone call for them but I got a letter saying that if I didn't call and schedule that my child would be on the waiting list or removed from the waiting list. And then I tried calling like 4 or 5 times leaving messages and they didn't return my call one day I happened to get somebody on the phone and she said she never got any of the messages.
So when I told her about my daughter she said oh that's great we could probably get her on the schedule even though one of the therapists is going out on maternity leave someone else will take care of her during that time let's start looking at dates.
But when I got to the appointment and I admit that I was late by 10 minutes because I have three autistic kids and I drove an hour and 15 minutes from Montgomery.
Even though my daughter does have eating issues they think that she would be better off in OT even if she did have feeding issues there's a waiting list even though that wasn't set on the phone something totally different was being said.
I got a five-page printout of places to call and all of those places I've already called already and they all have waiting list. For OT. The OT that my daughter was going to she was having a hard time coping because the lady was making her write and she was only three trying to use scissors when she had sensory processing issues.

I pretty much summed it up that if you have a special needs child and you're a poor person of color you will never get the help that you need .

Our children are set up to fail and God forbid you're a single parent with no family because you yourself was a child of the system your children are absolutely screwed.

My guess is is they just want the money for the consultation and so they hype you up to come and you leave on a year long waiting list if you get on the waiting list at all.
I went from having hope to absolutely nothing.

God help us all.

We've had a wonderful experience with Heather and the entire staff at Auburn Therapy and Learning Center. Heather has worked diligently and patiently with our strong-willed toddler and we're seeing really promising progress in just a short amount of time. We're so thankful to have found a place perfectly suited to meet our concerns, with a therapist who adapts well to his quirks and learning needs. We're fully confident that he will continue to do well here.

My son has been at Auburn TLC for almost a year and has made huge strides! He currently is there for speech and occupational therapy. His eye contact and speech have made great leaps. My 3 year old loves to go there so much we have to make sure that we do not arrive too early or he will be mad that he has to wait. You can tell that they really care about the child and are supportive of the family as well. They have helped me every step of the way, from recommendation for other therapies or at home activities, to calming my fears when navigating the unknown with my child. It can be a very scary thing as a parent hearing that your child is delay and figuring out what to do to help them along the way. I cannot say enough good things about them and trust their staff completely!

Great therapist (we see Heather) and great atmosphere. Clean, organized, appealing to children. Heather engaged with my daughter on her level and established great rapport with her while maintaining high expectations, and this has helped my daughter progress. Highly recommended!

We are most greatful for the dyslexia tutoring/therapy that we have received. The therapists have learned my child’s personality and the types of activities that work best. We have loved everyone that we’ve met. The staff is gracious and truly cares about the whole child. Highly recommended!

Over the past year and a half, Auburn TLC has been so patient and proactive with my son. He went from not speaking at all to having an abundance of words and phrases he can use. They are nothing short of the best.
