I wish there was an option for a 0 star. The incompetence of this location is beyond me. I filed a child protection case. This incompetent Caseworker Adriyana Barron needs to be terminated. PERIOD! They are NOT protecting these children. How many other cases has she fouled up.
Montgomery DHR needs to look into this office, and I will see to it, and anyone else who was involved in the case. I will not stop fighting for the child, and the children coming behind.

Unfortunately I was forced to choose a star to create this review. I turned in everything for my 6 month review this month and they terminated my food stamps once again saying they didn't receive my paperwork. Case worker has not called me back after leaving a voice-mail 4 days ago. I called the main number and was told they actually did get everything but I still have to wait for my stamps to get turned back on because there is a process they have to go through. This is the most unethical heartless business I have ever had to deal with. The whole place is a joke and needs a complete overhaul with workers who actually care and will do their job. After reading all the reviews, I am appalled with the fact that the state has allowed this facility to still function like this for as long as it has and hasn't corrected the vast amount of problems and neglect being done to the citizens of this county.

I just want to say on here, that Dhr needs to do a better job. They take children for the money and not for their safety. Dhr has caused a lot of pain and disturbances. They do not know how to speak to the parents and foster parents. They talk to them disrespectfully and only give the parents very little information about there children if they do or do not have rights still. Dhr barely has any placements in Baldwin county and the children have to sleep in the Dhr building until they have a placement or emergency placement. Dhr barely cares about the children and care more about the money. They won’t answer any phone calls, emails or text messages. Dhr puts foster children in facilities for no reasons. The facilities that children go into mentally, and physically abuses and neglect them and does not help the children at all. All the facilities do is make the situation worse for the child.

I wish I didn’t have to select a star. The MOST incompetent people I have seen grouped in one spot. Emailed the capital about this office and will call the capital to report this office as well. Hope you don’t need food assistance. Hope you don’t need to speak to an actual case worker because no matter how many voicemails left, even with supervisors…. You will be ignored. WOW just WOW.
I keep very detailed records and there is no excuse for this place and their inability to be accurate nor accountable.

Been trying to get EBT for me and my toddler I’m 24 weeks pregnant and can’t work, they can’t even answer their phones. I put in my application on February 9th, 2022 and NO ONE has called me back or been in office at all I’ve driven up here 8 times. If anyone can help us getting groceries that would be great I don’t know what to do.

Just the experience I expected after reading other reviews. Shame on Baldwin county DHR. They lie and do not want to help people in need.

Been calling and sening emails for months to try to get answers about my case benefits being delayed. Never a response. I had to drive 30minutes to see someone in office only to be told to sit in a conference room and wait for the supervisor to call as they don't so face to face meetings. I wait 15 minutes for a call for them to tell me to reapply as it's been too long now.
Waste of time and clearly they don't know what they are doing.

Benefits were cut off after 6 month review with no explanation. I sent in paperwork twice I even took it up there and put it in there hand and also sent in emails. No one answers the phone and most of the time voicemail is full there is no email address for the individuals that work there at least they don't post them. I have done everything in my power and still received a notice that they didn't get my paperwork after I talked to my case worker who will not call me back. I rely on this to eat I make less than 1300 a month and it all goes to bills and Dr visits they need a new staff! I guess now I will have to reapply and starve for the next 30 days because they are so slow and don't answer calls.
