This school district sucks!!
The person who answer the calls always has a nasty attitude , they are not knowledgeable !!they don’t help! Or CARE !!! If you have a complain don’t go to them please go to the state school border if you want your issue to be resolved . I had summited a complaint about MR Norman the principal at Crestline elementary, I Never , never got a called back , when i will call and ask for an update they said to wait for a call back until this day nothing has been done ..

This is the worst school district I have ever been associated with, I am new in town. first of all they do not answer their phones at all! Even if you leave messages, it’s been months never even got a call back I always have to drive to the office, where I have to deal with rude snobby attitudes from some of the lady’s at the office one in particular she’s a older black women with glasses she was very rude, unprofessional, and very inappropriate. I was only in the office for about 15 mins enrolling my kids and she came out of no where with attitude interrupting me when I was talking to another lady at the desk making comments in my kids which one of them has autism, she told me she was going to put my 2 year old and 4 year old out side by them selfs. Then she sat there breathing on my neck watching me for the rest of the time I was enrolling my kids. nobody else was in the office enrolling either so I’m not sure why they don’t ever answer the phone and why they are so rude all the time , I made a complaint but never heard anything back this is ridiculous that they hire people like this at A SCHOOL DISTRICT AROUND KIDS!! These people do not have respect for parents or children and do not care at all !

Worst school district ever!!!! They changed my sons iep without me knowing or should I say Dr Heather Reid did falsely saying I was notified in persons!!!!!!!!!! I was waiting for a 30 day iep meeting since school started and never ever got an appointment.

If you have a special needs child beware of what this district does.

BTW my son was put in Montara elementary, he came from Ingles school with an active iep.

Like the school district. We had to go there when we moved to Barstow so that my brothers could get assigned the schools they had to go to. The process was easy and efficient.

They left my baby outside in the cold they only waited 1 minute and she was putting her jacket on by the bus and they pulled off then called to report and the front desk had the nerve to argue with me

I love this school district! They are super supportive and really go out of their way to make everyone feel like an individual; not like a number.

This place is rediculious!!!!!!!! Every time I try to call to speak to someone all they do is let it ring and then hang up. I can tell they REALLY care about our children's education, so much . .. REDICULIOUS!!!!!! THEY SUCK

All districts have they're issues, but Barstow steps in, and takes care of business. Other districts slap you on the hand for serious offenses, but Barstow don't play. Way to go!
