Our daughter took an online SHSAT prep course for 6 months and received an offer from her first choice of specialized high schools. We had to move to NYC all of sudden and had no idea about the NYC school system including specialized high schools. We are thankful for Michael, her tutor who gave her a lot of good advice based on her progress. Also Annie, Academic Coordinator was always responsive and really helpful whenever we needed some instruction. We highly recommend Bee Tutored!

Bee Tutored did a great job targeting what areas my son needed to work on and helping him improve his SHSAT score. He did a group class and learned a lot! Overall he improved his test score by over 100 points and got into his top school (Lehman High School of American Studies). My older son also got into his top school with Bee Tutored 3 years ago! We were referred to Bee Tutored for our daughter who took the SHSAT twice, adding more than 100 points to her score from her original score, and was admitted to one of the most coveted NYC Specialized high schools, where there were very few seats to be had. I highly recommend Bee Tutored for high school test prep for ISEE and SHSAT tests. Bee Tutored has been very responsive and has always returned my calls and emails. I requested a change in tutor and they accommodated my request. Even though it was a remote/zoom class, the tutor provided great insights after each lesson and offered tips to improve on challenging areas. My two daughters attended NYC public elementary, middle and high schools. Bee Tutored played a big part in the academic success of my girls, as neither my wife nor I were expert enough in mathematics and science to guide them through challenging patches.

Over six or seven years, we’ve used an equal number of tutors. Owner Kate Pritchard was extremely responsive and did a good job matching my daughters’ challenges with a tutor (usually college aged or recently graduated from college) who had absolute mastery of the subject.

Only on one occasion did we ask for a rematch. Bee Tutored sent over a replacement tutor the following week -- and we continue to use him 16 months later for my daughter, a senior at Brooklyn Tech.

We credit the work of Bee Tutored during middle school, along with SHSAT prep classes, with helping my youngest gain admission to one of the specialized high schools, Brooklyn Tech.

Had the Bee Tutored tutoring center opened several years ago, we would have availed ourselves to their SAT and ACT college test prep, which our girls took at Kaplan. They found Kaplan sterile and uninspiring, not to mention disorganized. Test grades were often not posted on time and classes were canceled without advance notice. My oldest daughter saw no improvement in her score from PSAT to SAT, even after taking the Kaplan course twice.

Bee Tutored is the antithesis of for-profit, corporate tutoring mills like Huntington, Sylvan, Kaplan and Princeton Review. Anytime I have wanted to speak with the owner, Kate, I reached her via email and phone. She takes pride in her business and the success of kids receiving tutoring from Bee Tutored.

As a longtime customer of the business, I attended the open house for the new tutoring center and met the Scratch computer programming tutor and the SHSAT prep tutor. They were just like the young adults that have mentored my kids over the years -- bright, warm and eager to teach.

I recommend Bee Tutored to any parent who doesn’t have the time and/or skills to help his or her kid with homework and test prep. They’ve come through for me over many years and I have two smart, confident daughters to show for it.

I have 3 daughters and have been using Bee Tutored tutors for approx. 8/9 years now. The staff have always been very helpful and quickly found tutors that met our specific requirements, in terms of schedules and always female tutors (my daughters felt more comfortable with them). They advised me who they felt would be a good fit, and in cases where I preferred another option, they would work on finding me someone else right away. The tutors themselves have worked very well with my kids - extremely knowledgable with the ability to explain matters in terms that the kids were able to understand. From assistance with Regent's subjects to bringing up their SAT scores by over 100 points, I have been very happy with Bee Tutored. In all these years, there was only 1 tutor that we were not happy with but the office staff found me a replacement in time for the next session. I highly recommend using Bee Tutored for your children's tutoring needs and I would personally like to recommend Kaegan Sparks - we worked with her over the last couple of years and she is amazing. She is extremely smart and well-rounded in most subjects, and she gave some great tips for tackling the SATs. Also, I would like to thank Laura & Kate - they responded to all my emails/concerns right away and they worked with me to ensure that my kids got all the help they needed.

Bee Tutored is a great organization that offers a variety of services in reference to academic aid. The amount of attention each student receives and the progress each student almost certainly attains is remarkable. Bee Tutored is very neat and organized, as they update the parents of the students work. Furthermore, they provide insight to parents as to how the learning experience can enhance outside the classroom setting and into the household and everyday activities. Bee Tutored offers at-home one-on-one service, as well as classes at a variety of schools across the city and at their home office in Brooklyn. If that isn’t enough already, they also offer Skype sessions, where students sometimes as far as across the Atlantic Ocean will use. Bee Tutored employs quality instructors who has years of experience; amongst all the instructors, Bee Tutored can certainly find more than one instructor that can entertain the needs of any student in any subject or test prep.
