Belinda! You did an amazing job training our family! All three of our young kids absolutely loved learning from you. You were so patient and kind as you worked with them and our puppy Penny. Our kids wanted to teach Penny tricks and you had so many fun things to show them. We love you and miss you and appreciate everything you taught us. You made puppy training enjoyable, easy to understand and fun! Here we are almost a year later and our Penny pup is such a good girl. Teaching us how to work with her and how to be consistent has done wonders. We are so grateful for you and even though it took me so long to post a review at least I can report that your training sticks long term! I am glad you were part of our lives! Love you! Belinda was patient with our Minka, who is very high energy. In four sessions, Minka was placing, sitting, lying down, and staying on hand commands while we walked out of the room. Best of all, Belinda trained us to avoid reinforcing unwanted behaviors. We're still working on loose leash walking, but we made more progress in four weeks with this style of training than we had made in three months with two other trainers. Be prepared to work at short daily sessions on your own with your dog, though! Her methods get results!

Belinda has been a friend of mine for a long time. She is not just about getting customers or teaching. She has knack and real passion for what she does.

I been in Law Enforcement for over 28 years. I have had 4 dogs, my last 3 were German Shepards. They were my personal dogs, not a department K-9. Just recently I had to put my boy Jake down unexpectedly. I was devastated and heartbroken. I loss my best friend. It is true. There is a special bond between a man and his GS. Belinda was one of the first persons to call me. Everyone would call and say they are sorry and hang in there. Belinda could have been one of those 5 minute calls.

No not Belinda she was on the phone with me for well over a hour.
To be honest I was really lost. She really helped me get through everything. Not just 1 call but a couple to see how I was doing. That just goes to show you, not just a customer but someone who really cares.....

Belinda is deeply in tune with dogs, and most other living things, but from the point of view of dogs, she is an excellent defender. She advocated for our dear, traumatized little Max and helped us to care for him in the first weeks after he was trucked up to CT from his kill shelter & foster home in Fayetteville, Georgia. Max has some “issues”, but we love him and Belinda is helping us to get through them with him. Max got into some rat poison and nearly died, but Belinda saved his life. When the first vet offered a prognosis of doom, she took him to a second vet who knew better and saved the dog. Belinda doesn’t sentimentalize dogs — she treats them with respect and love.

I would love to give a huge shoutout to Belinda N. Ahern of BNA Dog Training! She was recommended to us from a friend! I think she’s come 4 times now and what a difference in our beautiful Wrigley!!! The biting has stopped, which is huge! She’s learning how to sit, stay and come! Today Belinda came and we took Wrigley to Starbucks. In the past when we would ride in the car she would go crazy and as soon as we hit the drive thru she was almost jumping out of the car for her pup cup!!! Not today she didn’t even bark! I highly recommend Belinda and her positive reinforcement training! It’s making a huge difference in our lives!

Belinda is amazing! She’s so easy to work with, brought treats for my dog and was very quickly able to identify patterns in my dog’s behavior. Within the space of an hour she helped me to work with my 8 year old terrier to have her calm, able to sit in her crate and not be so reactive. We still have some practice to do, but Belinda left us some detailed homework and checks in to see how we’re doing. I’ve stuck to the plan she provided and am seeing great results after just a few days. I’d thoroughly recommend Belinda!

I interviewed 3 different trainers before booking with Belinda. I have two rescue boys. One is about 11 and it has taken us 7 years to bring him out of his shell, from a fearful, timid and cautious dog to a beloved family pet. Given his journey I just couldn’t go the route of a shock collar on him. Our other boy is so small that I couldn’t imagine the shock collar the trainer let me test on myself around this little guy’s neck.
Belinda came over for an initial evaluation with a totally different attitude. It was all about positive reinforcement and teaching me how a dog may perceive the training. My dogs loved her and were always excited to see her at the door. I recommend her and hope to work with her again.
