Amanda was our doula a and the experience was better than we imagined. She met us where were at in terms of communication , involvement of both partners , providing experience based ,evidence based guidance and resources. She put as at ease throughout this process, instilled confidence , alleviated stress and balanced support with giving space for privacy .

We chose empowered beginnings in general because it was actually recommended by our healthcare providers and that was a great indication that they were not only respected but collaborative . It was great to have a third party in the room who had experience but could provide guidance in the best interest of our family. Our was an advocate when we needed it most .

Book them, book them now!!!!!! I had the most amazing birthing experience using this service. Ashley and Dawn are the most professional yet most friendly and warm people. They are both amazing at their job and right from the first meeting to the birth of my daughter and even after, they were closely involved offering great advice. They offer really good classes and also have meeting groups that you can share experiences with other expectant and new moms. This helped me learn a lot, put my mind at ease, decrease my anxiety and definitely helped my husband and I feel prepared.

My water broke at 37 weeks and five days and I was in labor for two days. Most people will tell you it’s a bad experience being in labor that long but thank God for having Ashley at my side. With Covid I could not have her there physically but she was with me via zoom and even that made for an amazing experience. My husband would call her with questions or she would call in with suggestions any hour of the day. There were things available to us to help aid the delivery process that I’ve never heard of and even friends of mine that have kids did not know these were available at hospitals; bathtub, peanut ball, bouncing ball etc. I was confined to my room because of Covid and could not go walk in the halls to help. But Ashley gave me exercises that my husband and I were able to perform in the room to help during contractions. So this is one of the most important reasons of having a Doula, they know all the ins and outs, every secret and everything available at the hospital that can help make your experience better.

I will book them over and over again if I have more kids.

Ashley made my birth experience what it was. She & her team are incredibly attentive and compassionate. I wouldn’t want anyone else involved with such an impactful, intimate event.
