After one pole foundations class with Sahra I knew I found my new hobby. She’s an amazing instructor who makes sure everyone of of her students are comfortable. I am not athletic at all but I’ve noticed myself get stronger and stronger in every class. I also had Miyuki as an instructor and I really appreciated how well she breaks downs basics. The Berkeley studio has slowly become my second home and I love raving about the confidence and strength I’ve gained because of the wonderful instructors who encourage me every step of the way.

Had a wonderful private class, our instructors Sahra and Celadon were so knowledgeable and accepting of physical capacity and how to wrangle a big group into listening and having FUN while moving our bodies.

They were both so kind and encouraging of a total newbie! I would recommend this studio to anyone new to pole or experienced, they showed us a little performance and it was stunning.

I took a foundation class with Sahra and had such a great time! My friend (a trans man) and I (amab non-binary) were a little hesitant that we wouldn't be included in the space because of our genders. We were completely wrong . The group of students and the instructor all created a safe space for an the students, not just us. It was a great workout in a space where I could have fun and laugh with other beginners.

I love Berkeley P&D, it’s my happy place! The studio, the instructors, and the students are so awesome and friendly. I came here as a total beginner and got so hooked. I love the variety of classes, levels, and styles. Also their student discounts are amazing ❤️

This has been my go-to studio for the last few years and I absolutely love this place. The space is beautiful and well-furnished, with thoughtful touches like free tampons and hair ties. I love taking Celia's classes, I started in L2 and now I'm in L3 which was a big goal of mine. Her classes are always fun and filled with many dedicated students who come back week after week.

This was by far one of the most positive, empowering and fun experiences I’ve had in a group dance experience. I don’t consider myself coordinated, or particularly athletic but the instructors, Sahra and Celadon, were absolutely fantastic and making everyone feel comfortable and capable. We were a large group so it could be hard to manage but they did it with ease. I definitely recommend this studio and Sahra and Celadon. You’ll want to go back again and again.

I just want to post a note of appreciation for Sahra, who is an incredible, inclusive instructor with a great perspective around movement for all, attention to different body types and abilities and is able to make me feel great about my relationship to myself every class even if I can't nail a trick or get frustrated! It's so cool to feel safe around someone who advocates for LGBTQIA+ students and pays attention to the emotionally complex elements of pole. Thank you Sahra, you rule! <3 UPDATE: Just also wanted to add a note that Cela is also an incredible instructor, and so skilled and making students feel comfortable and nurtured; helps them connect with their bodies at a beginner level. <3

My second home! Sahra is absolutely amazing!! They make everyone feel comfortable and included at all times. She adjusts the moves so I’m able to get into them easier, and her class overall feels so inclusive and full of love.
