Nice people at the front desk. My 1st room smelled of smoke. They moved me. That night was okay. I then had to move to another room. That room smelled of old cigarette smoke once I turned off the fan. The fan and perfume were there to mask the smoke - the hotel staff KNEW. They had no other rooms. The screen was off & the 2nd room was on the first floor. The window open was very unsafe. I got very sick from the old cigarette smell. The hotel has refused to respond. It should not advertise as a nonsmoking hotel.
Their response is just a pretend response. I left a message for the General Manager and the GM has refused to respond to me.

My group of fishing buddies stayed here on our way home from fishing in Raspberry Island. The rooms were very clean and the bartender (Blanca) was very nice. The food at the restaurant was also very good.|They also have freezer space for guests fish.

Excellent stay in Kodiak at this hotel. Room was spotless & bed/pillows super comfortable. Nice to have a refrigerator for leftovers. Within walking distance of downtown, harbor, restaurants, banks, museum, stores, etc. I will definitely stay again!

Great location just above the charter boat pier, where we fished on the Lana J with Kodiak island adventures. Older hotel but all are in town. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant was surprisingly very good. Morning free breakfast was well stocked and selection was better than expected. They have a great walk-in freezer to store your boxed fish. Also a shuttle to and from the airport. Grocery store is about a mile away. Enjoyed our 5 day stay and will be staying here next trip.

Nice place convenient location. Room very nicely equipped with refrigerator and microwave. Trip advisor will not let me stop my review so have to write more even though I’d like to stop. Room was very hot staff could not control the heat so we were moved to another room which was very nice

Parking is awful, too many blind spots to get on the main road. They missed the “tidy clean” in my room, I brought it up to the front desk and they said I have to ask for it and gave me attitude. The sign in my room says differently. The rooms are filthy, shower is full of mold and mildew. I am so tired of the COVID excuse. If you’re going to charge me close to $300/night I expect clean rooms and the basic things promised. I would however like to say the young man working this morning was very helpful and professional.

Was a very nice hotel in Kodiak. We have stayed at others in Kodiak and this one was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant had a good selection of dinner items, great food, good service and a nice view of the harbor. They also had a good breakfast in the morning

The food quality in the restaurant was very good. The views were wonderful. Amenities of hotel are probably one of the best in area. Unfortunately, as a minority customer, I was sneered at and eyes rolled at me from more than one serving staff. They should know better and keep their prejudices in check. As a Caucasian-minority couple, it was very obvious I was treated differently. Sad that I felt this way during a nice dinner.
