Simon taught my daughter when she was in year 2 and now as she moves into year 7 she still fondly recalls him as her favourite teacher. I worked for a time at the same school and so have been fortunate to see Simon teaching first hand.
Simon is a natural teacher, his motivational energy, versatility and genuine passion for teaching really sets him apart.
My daughter had struggled with her confidence considerably, not just academically but personally too however during her time in Simon's class I noticed a real change in her attitude and application which she has carried throughout the rest of her time at school.
Simon has some brilliant tools in his teacher belt, his innovative style brings fun to each subject which encourages a love of learning in the children. He is calm and friendly yet highly respectful and professional. My daughter and I would highly recommend him.

Simon is a truly inspiring and dedicated teacher who’s effervescent personality captures the attention of any child who crosses his path. He has a way of connecting and understanding children which in turn leads to a love of, and enthusiasm towards learning. Five years on and my daughter still talks about him. I believe that her confidence, particularly in reading and maths, and her enjoyment of school stems from her time in his class. We will always treasure our Mr Brooks days.

When my daughter needed some additional help to catch up after lockdown, I had no hesitation in approaching Simon, the founder of Brooksmart, as we knew how great he was at inspiring and engaging students from when he taught my son in primary school several years ago. Her sessions last year made all the difference in getting her to where she needed to be. We're having more sessions this year to help maintain her maths and I can see every week how much she is growing in ability and confidence. The sessions are engaging and fun and she loves them. It's a great and flexible service, for example alternative dates offered when we're away, quick and comprehensive written feedback after each session. Brooksmart visited the school in a consultancy capacity as part of anyibullying week to work with the children and the staff. The workshops delivered were current, relevant and highly engaging. Simon is one of a kind and truly inspirational teacher and without a doubt my daughters favourite even after all these years. My child has been lucky enough to have tuition with Simon Brooks. At first my son was nervous and wasn’t too keen on having any tuition but due to Covid and the time spent away from school I felt it important to give him as much help as possible. I just can’t believe how confident my son is and has a positive approach to learning now.
Simon has a great gift in communicating to children making learning fun, positive and most of all individual. Simon listens to my son and is so clear in his explanation.
