The fair intent on an education to serve all deaf and blind students from many walks of life from all over is welcoming. However parents or guardians, please understand and know your rights. As well as your children with special needs of what is in their IEPs. Weather your student is 18 years or older. Please talk with your child. Remind them in any situations you are to request staff of the school and cottage staff you are to be contacted and informed on any situations. The school site is under different rules from the cottage campus. There is a lot of favoritism of students that have been with the school long term vs new kids starting later to live on that cottage campus. The staff, some not all of the cottage campus can be bias to minority students. Please teach your children to be cautious and to always have a parent or guardian be contacted in any matter. The cottage staff will not keep you in the loop if your child is in danger or trouble. No matter the day or time. The cottage staff takes it upon themselves to ack as law enforcement. They sweep issue under the rug. That should be handed over to proper authorities. I'm thankful for Fremont school for the deaf on having a program for our children. However it is not fair to families who do not know what to expect. Im not bashing this school. I only want to bring attention to all being able to have access to a fair education and safty living on that cottage campus. Without being miss treated. Good luck and God bless.

1983 to 1987 were all the best years, with lots of action, but today is dead because the swimming pool is closed forever! SAD!
